Rumor Killer On Charlotte Flair, Creative Plans

Charlotte Flair was not being placed in Money in the Bank.

Rumors circulated ahead of Money in the Bank that Charlotte Flair would be inserted into the Money in the Bank match, replacing Zelina. When asked about that ahead of the show, Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp said he hadn’t heard of such a plan to take place. We’ve followed up and were told there wasn’t serious consideration to that and that Charlotte’s creative has been planned for a while.

What a mess this show was.

Sometimes for better, mostly for worse, what an absolute mess.

Choosing the wrong guy (but thankfully not the WRONGEST guy) for Mr. MITB, a heel turn that made no sense, a match won via FOOT SPANKING, a John Cena pandering promo that lasted longer than the World Heavyweight Title Match (which had an inexplicable finish), no Brock return.

Jury's still out on the Main Event.

At least the Women's MITB was fun.

Some terminology used on Smackdown had fans in their feelings about Money in the Bank.

Cody Rhodes vs. Dominik Mysterio was announced as a main event of the show, which had fans asking what the status of that match is.

Starrcast VI is official

Starrcast is coming back.

Fightful Select has confirmed with Conrad Thompson that Starrcast is back with Starrcast VI The event is set to take place September 1-3 in Chicago, Illinois. The show is running in conjunction with AEW All Out.

We've learned that the event has been in the works for months, and was awaiting an official All Out announcement. 

Hotel blocks will be announced Thursday. We'll have more details as they become available. 

AEW talent confirmed to be under full-time deal

A recurring face on AEW is under a full-time deal, even though they haven’t wrestled since that became the case.
