More news on Sting's retirement

Sting is retired, and as a tag team champion.

As of now, we’re heard that the plan is for the tag team title situation to be cleared up fairly soon, but that Darby Allin wasn’t expected to retain them with a different partner. AEW sources had indicated that the idea for the Young Bucks to emerge without winning was made weeks ago, but that they were planned to remain near the tag team title picture.

We’re told that All Elite Wrestling and Tony Khan were adama...

Hangman Page expected to take time off

Hangman Page took the loss at AEW Revolution tonight, and possibly for good reason.

Leading up to the match and for quite some time, word was that Hangman Page was set to take time off from AEW TV. We aren't sure specifically when that starts, but it was possibly set up by him attacking referees at Revolution.

Page's status for the match tonight was actually touch and go until this past week. We're told that if he does miss time, it could be a few months

More on Kyle O'Reilly's AEW return

Kyle O'Reilly is back, and it's been a long road.

O'Reilly showed up with a new look, and we're told there are other elements that will be different for him. Many had expected him to be a a part of the Undisputed Kingdom reveal, but a different direction has been in the works...

Ricky Starks to the FED?!

Not quite yet.

Starks hasn't wrestled in AEWsince he and Big Bill dropped the AEW Tag Team Titles to Sting and Darby Allin. We don't have information on what that is, or when Starks'...

Josh Alexander talks TNA contract, rebrand

Josh Alexander will remain with TNA for at least the next year, and spoke with Sean Ross Sapp and Fightful about it.

Alexander confirmed Fightful's report that he was hopeful he could explore his contractual possibilities and asked Anthem to pass on the option to do that. However, Anthem had decided to exercise that option by that point, and Alexander said he signed the contract two years ago and he knew what he was doing and that it was a possibility. He has no issues with Anthem...

Smackdown Backstage News And Producers

- The blackouts and muting was done during The Rock and Roman Reigns segments were due to "Die Rocky Die" signs and chants. There was also a "Rock shops at BALCO" sign taken away. BALCO was a business involved in a sports steroid scandal in the 2000s

- The Rock's segment with Roman Reigns went over by over ten minutes. Naomi's entrance and some other things were cut from the broadcast as a result.

Alex & Kate's SOUR GRAPS: SmackDown 3/1 | Between The Rock and a Hard Place

No Rampage watchalong tonight, kids, so Auntie Kate can join us.

The Rock took too long to say something today on two separate occasions.

The second time, he took up the better part of a 40 minute talking segment to start the show, a segment that could have been twice as effective in half the time, but no, The Rock had to impugn all the women of Glendale as "Crackhead Karens" a few times. That's libel. Or slander. One of those two.

In other news, Rey Mysterio came back from ...

Who produced The Rock's segment on Smackdown?

The Rock and Bloodline took up a huge portion of WWE Smackdown on March 1, but it wasn't produced by the usual suspect.

Michael Hayes is usually in charge of producing of Roman Reigns segments, Bloodline connected segments, and even many segments in which people set to feud with Bloodline were in. However, he wasn't listed as a producer on Friday's run sheet. Instead, lead producer Jason Jordan was listed as the producer for both segments.

As one would expect, The Rock's segment w...

AEW conferred with Martha Hart on Sting entrance

Sting descended from the rafters for the final (likely) time at this past week's AEW Dynamite.

The drop from the ceiling was the first Sting had done a rafter drop since his 2007 entrance at TNA Slammiversary. Outside of that, he'd not done one since 2000 in WCW, and had used the entrance sparingly since the unfortunate passing of Owen Hart in May 1999.

Sting utilizing the entrance led to some reference the dangers associated with the entrance and perceived insensitivities. ...

Big update on Kazuchika Okada

AEW is landing a huge free agent in Kazuchika Okada.

Okada’s New Japan Pro Wrestling deal expired at the end of January, making him a free agent. AEW had long maintained interest in him joining the company. By early February, Fightful Select had reported that Okada was expected to go to All Elite Wrestling and would be debuting once he’d finished up his freelance obligations with NJPW.

We’d also noted that the first half of March was expected to be a huge one for AEW. Merced...
