...Yes.
Okay, I wouldn't do that to Jackie... lucky bastard.

After my KMFDM binge, I've hopped back on my quest to listen to three things I've not listened to enough of... Jazz, Hip-Hop, and the reason for Sounds of Silence, classic records.
You'll know this album's title track from its meme status, but everything else really is as beautiful, elegant, and effortlessly listenable from start to finish. I couldn't believe how quickly its twenty nine minute run-time flew by, without there being one song longer than 3:21.
It's album tha...

One of the classic cases of a game proving it's appeal to me, is when I'm capturing footage for it, only needing a few minutes, maybe even seconds...
And I play for hours.
It seems to happen almost every time I play Project Gotham Racing 4. By no means is this game going to blow your mind if your favorite racing games are Burnout 3: Takedown, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, or Wreckfest.
It isn't a game that has an extra hook that'll appeal to people who don't care about the di...

Thoughts on the Superman movie?
Haven't seen it, though from what I hear, it sounds like James Gunn continues to be one of the few working with Superheroes that's able to add a sense of Pathos to their stories.

In July, I happened to be sitting around the Dinner table with some extended family. When one of them asked what am I watching right now, and I said Twin Peaks, they said "Oh yeah, it was weird, I couldn't really get into it..."
...I can't blame them.
When Twin Peaks gets recommended in simple "Must Watch Show" ...

I've listened to Hurt - both versions - probably hundreds of times over the years.
It's a song that's both stood as the culmination of a one-hour descent into self-inflicted madness, and a stand-alone three minute tearjerker. It's represented the realization of a young-man whose thrown themselves down a well, and an elder looking back upon their life during the final months.
What it's never don...

So I've Finally... listened to KMFDM's entire discography.
I'll leave my Tier List on the bottom if you're curious, but even the D albums have absolute bangers. KMFDM sucks! And I absolutely love their decades of consistent attitude and charm.
Hau Ruck's the definitive record for KMFDM's definitive sound, and line-up that surfaced after coming back in 2002. Other albums might have individual songs I like more, but Hau Ruck's the album that's properly varied and never loses strengt...

I normally find myself reading on Flights, that or using whatever service they have to try shows I don't normally have access to for free.
Obviously, there's the previous recommendations I've given here on the Patreon, also probably a good time to hear what all the fuss was about regarding Hunt the Truth.

Ah, the latest reminder that this whole "just put a movie on instead of logging into Twitter" was such a wonderful decision. As great as was my habit of always skipping over any Essay on Youtube that discussed this movie.
This movie didn't grip me immediately, in-fact, I can't really pin-point exactly when I couldn't look away from the screen, but it definitely happened, and I definitely understood why there's such love for this movie.
It's as imaginative as it is chaotic, and as ...

Hey everybody!
I've been meaning to write this update for weeks, but kept putting it off as I've been admittedly pushing well beyond my work schedule I discussed in the previous update. Not to the point of sleepless nights on the floor with rendering like I've done in the past, but 7-9 hours instead of 3-5.
The end result as you can see is that most of the project is laid out, but there's still a decent chunk left. I need to add all the music, sound effects, get a music visualizer...

I ain't cool.
Definitely not cool enough to be dancing in darkly lit Goth Clubs with a towering dominatrix to devilish synth-beats, but damn, is it fun to listen to.
Having heard Pixel Grip's previous albums, I could never get into them for more than a couple songs at a time, but the potential was always obvious, and it's realized big time on this third album.
It's varied, beautifully paced, and consistently catchy.
While I do generally prefer industrial, noisier, more...

343 Industries: Part of my positive-view of Halo 4 I've held since release day was being impressed that a brand new developer who never made a game together before did as good of a job as they did.
They made a game that in certain aspects, I even preferred to Bungie's games. Guns had way more punch, the facial-capture had taken a truly nota...

Do you think there are games that had storytelling - where it's cryptic in narratives and the twists mind bending (or as Mandalore experienced, mind melting) that manage to somehow stick and gets away with it? For instance, Marathon Infinity, made amids the abundance of Doom/Quake clone being recognized for the gameplay and technology, had lore and details that gradually make sense (and ends up being super meta at the end). It's executed in way that there...

The amount of works that it has inspired over the years that feature dream sequences, other worldly art-styles, and time-travel might give the opposite impression but truly, this story in its plot is almost as bare bones as it gets...

If you had a time machine to stop a certain point in gaming history, what would it be? For me I would somehow prevent Drake and Ninja to ever do that Fortnite stream that amplified our current gaming and streaming nightmares.
Oh, that's a good pick! Though I can't help but feel that'd only delay the inevitable. Somebody else woulda done it not long after if Ninja hadn't, and gaming's had several avenues of obnoxious presentation since its origins...

What are some song changes, or removals in newer additions of games (due to our dear old friend licensing) that bother you personally? There is a cinematic and gameplay sequence in the OG Mafia 3 where the song "Run through the jungle" By Creedence is used to draw a parallel between Lincoln Clay hunting down one of his revenge targets, and his time in Vietnam as a CIA asset hunting down NVA. Which was then removed in the definitive addition that bother...

Well this is not what I was expecting to first recommend after a recent goal of listening to more Hip-Hop.

In a world were I use review scores, I'd only give Extraction II a 3 out of 5.
It's an improvement over the previous film but it's still littered with plot-holes, uneven pacing, and melodrama more unrealistic than anything the main character lives through.
However, it's probably the most fun and most impressive 3 out of 5 I've seen in years. In an age of cynical corporate filmmaking, it's refreshing to watch a film like Extraction II that manages to have not one but several sequen...

Recalling back to your previous Randomly Mine post, Doomed For Eternal, do you think TDA is the straw that broke the camel back given the reception is kind of what you predicted it would turn out to be? And will it have the same turn around that Doom 3, for all of it's brilliance and flaws, be discussed in retrospect? And would we see the future possibility (though very unlikely case for now me thinks) of Quake making a return?

While I've been steadily traveling down the path of viewing things systemically since I started my Adulthood in complete poverty, what little remained of viewing accidents as just a people problem vanished not even by the half way point of this book.

I've been meaning to write this update for weeks now, the pattern being, I start writing my script for the Perfect Dark Zero video saying "I'll write the update after today's session," and then after four hours, I forget about it, and repeat.
That's one of the reasons why while spending the weekend reorganizing my room after buying new bookshelves (which I should've done years ago), I thought I'd also add a whiteboard and a physical clock to punch in.
