It's written. Gonna sleep on it, don't know if I'll narrate it tomorrow as I'm going to go see 1917 with Family. Of the previous ideas I listed, decided to go through with talking about Need for Speed: Heat. Not specifically the game, though I do have hours and hours of footage from my playthrough already recorded. Instead, it's about roadblocking players.
How NFS: Heat's enjoyment could not exist, had it followed the Triple AAA status-quo of progression systems and monetization.

Those who've not heard about this program, are probably thinking the same thing.
Really, Ray? A Nickelodeon show?
I don't blame you. At first glance, a bunch of kids with magic powers seems kinda lame. Like a YA novel before those became such hot sellers. But I'd heard people of all ages, demographics, and interests, praise this show incessantly; now I understand why.
The cast of characters occupies the same entertainment of Cowboy Bebop, and Mass Effect. The story'...

Hugo Martin's a treasure.
DOOM's Creative Director is one of the best podcasts guests you can have, as to me, confirmed by his most recent appearance on NoClip's Podcast. Obviously, much of his time was spent talking about ID's anticipated sequel. How this new game resolves balancing issues, instructs players, and makes them earn the power fantasy gameplay DOOM's known for.
And through that, a topic came up which I hadn't heard since it stopped earning easy views on Youtube. That ...

Thoughts on Alpha Protocol? Have you ever considered doing a 'years later' or 'finally played' on it?
Played it years ago and couldn't help but fall in love with it. Game's utterly broken, horrendously balanced, and has all the visual appeal of a Baboon's backside. But the novelty of an Espionage RPG has carried throughout the years, and it still has one of the best dialogue systems out there, combined with Obsidian's historically solid ...

Figures that everything would be going swell until I reached the rendering process. So, it looks like my move to DaVinciResolve won't be secured until this rendering is dealt with. I've stayed up past 5am attempting to sort out this mess, only to have the same audio bug each time, even though when ordering the video to render only this bit in particular, it works perfectly fine.
Apologies for the delay, but my sleep schedule is already screwed, and I don't want to make things even worse...

You've heard one song on this album before. Whether it's from the Matrix, Spiderman (2002) Trailer, Motorstorm, or slew of Youtube videos during the site's birth, Lunatic Calm's "Leave You Far Behind" is a classic, and one of my personal favorites of all time. But that's just one song, one song that doesn't at all represent the rest of this album.
I didn't quite realize how literal the band's name is until now. Metropol has songs made of absolute lunacy, separated by calming, low tempo,...

I really wanted to complete it today, but After Effects crashes and learning Resolve ate up that time. Should be completed tomorrow before I visit family for Dinner though, and Uploaded the following morning, should I escape the Youtube's police department. After that, I'll immediately be working on one of four projects, but most likely the one on Need for Speed: Heat.
Hope the weekend treated all of you well.
Best wishes,

Recently, I managed to get F1 2010 running on my computer for a future project, by future I mean over six months from now. Something which immediately stood out however is that period of time when games completely abandoned vibrant colors in the pursuit of... actually, what was it for?
Grittiness?
F1 2010 is anything but gritty. It's atmospheric, mechanically polished, and blisteringly quick, yet, all its muted color palette does is make its F1's globetrotting adventure rath...

Would you consider looking at Dark Souls games and the Soulslike games that have been popping up over the years? I’m interested in what your thoughts on the subject.
Well, due to the Orange Box Years Later, there's a Southern Owl keeping tabs on me at all times to assure that franchise is never spoken about due to overexposure, or else I'll be cut for being a coward.
But seriously, never say never, especially as my relation to Dark Sou...

Halo: The Fall of Reach movie is really, really... bad. I prefer to use more sophisticated descriptions when a film doesn't live up to its potential but 2015's animated recreation of Eric Nylund's book (or rather, a part of it) is terribly acted, poorly animated, and is consumed more like a Youtube Playlist of Short-Films rather than a cohesive film.
It also repeats an error that Halo's 4&5 made, as well as the more recent Wolfenstein's. The score mixing is horrendous, with music be...

There's really no better time to hop into gaming, PC in particular. To play games at the optimal 1080p60fps experience, doesn't require cutting edge hardware, not even close. Entry Quad-Core processors by AMD & Intel combined with a GTX 1060 or RX 580 is enough to play most of everything that matters, and with there being actual competition in the entry to mid-tier market, the future is only looking brighter from here on out.
However, due to my profession, I'm lucky enough to start ...

What are your top 3 character archetypes?
I think the lovable rogue is in everybody's top three character archetypes. There's just an admiration in seeing someone who's lawless yet compassionate. Han Solo's easily the most famous, but I didn't grow up with Star Wars. Bioware games come to my mind.
Mainly in the characters of Garrus Vakarian & Varric Tethras.
Perhaps I'll write a Randomly Mine going more in-depth with these char...

To this day, legally obtaining a copy of Outrun Coast 2 Coast for your PC is quite difficult, and not even highly recommended as the port for Coast 2 Coast is quite sloppy, or... slippery.
*Ba dum tss*
Doing so has also become ever more pointless, because Slipstream exists, and frankly does a better job than even the original upon which it is clearly based. An identical handling model, and gameplay structure communicates that this is very obviously, an homage to an 80s classic. Bu...

In the spirit of making this Patreon more active and reactive, we're going to open my sketch book to a page I ordinarily don't share with anyone, the ideas. Things I've written a few paragraphs about, or some opening words in my head. They range all over the place, and I can't expose what the next Years Later project is as its one I've wanted to do for years, but can't yet confirm.
Without further ado...

I speak to you know from a few days of relaxing and reflection upon the latest video - though judging by the Russian, still played too much CoD - the response of which, has been extremely positive. I've had multiple regulars tell me its the best work yet, which makes me relieved and partially insane, being I hated almost everything about it just two weeks before uploading. I'm sure the latter will fade with time though, and even if...

There's not been one video I've made without adjustments, where a Thesaurus is never opened, and a sentence isn't deleted. When opening one of my scripts, yellow highlighter would be considered, traditional. Often indicating that either I messed up a line and need to rerecord it, or I tweaked a line... and need to rerecord it.

But even this was a bit much.

Hey everybody,
It's been a few weeks since I've last reported anything and traditionally that means I'm going to be pausing the Patreon due to not working enough to get projects released. However, I'm pleased to say we're in the home stretch.

The biggest sections, those being Pre-Production, Gameplay, Story, and Multiplayer, are almost completed, with Pre-Pro just requiring me to co...

Hello everybody,
It’s been a while hasn’t it? September 1st, I officially assigned this project to myself, and here I am at the official deadline with more work to do.
Now a question I get is if I’m working, why pause? Why deny donations when I’m supposedly working around the clock. And the reason is I’m only working hard in this immediate moment because I didn’t have the foresight or the will to work through it earlier. This week was the period ...

This game feels absolutely brilliant.
It isn’t. At least, I wouldn’t go that far yet. Modern Warfare on the surface features the traditional set of perks, killstreaks, weapon customization, and game-modes you’ve come to expect from COD that has released dozens of games in the dozen years since Modern Warfare… the original, COD4.
That won’t get confusing.
However, in-t...

Good afternoon everybody,
Just came by to quickly elaborate that the Modern Warfare Impressions I said to post this week is gonna be out tomorrow. Lack of sleep from the nights of research for the original Modern Warfare, COD4 (that's not confusing), left less time than expected.
...Also I might've watched a Grand Prix last night.
Damn Russian timezones.
There'll also be a Recommendations posted the day of the new Month.
Hope you're all enjoying the weekend!

Greetings everybody
It’s hardly a secret as I showed an iconic scene during my last video, but I am currently working on a Years Later for COD4 and naturally, the ambition has leap frogged Metro. I’m not covering two entirely separate games this time, but with the amount of versions, mods, and history behind the game’s development, it might as well be two games worth of coverage.
Which is fine, I enjoy a challenge, but I’m simultaneously not trying to overly push myself as...

The Go Trilogy by Square Enix Montreal
Recently, I got a new phone (Ulefone Power 6), and no longer having to worry about a battery that dies the moment it loads a game's menu, I've gotten the chance to play Mobile titles I've always been curious about, one of which being, The Go Trilogy.
Starting with Hitman, Square Enix's Montreal studio ended up maki...

Hey guys,
I'm sorry that I didn't communicate this earlier, got lost in the editing process. But I'm aiming for this video to be out on the weekend. Originally, it was supposed to rapidly follow up Siege Customs, but then I ended up rewriting the script three times.
Hope all of you enjoy it, and while its not my biggest project, it will announce something that just might be.
Enjoy the rest of your week.

Humbling, Not Nostalgia
Today, I dusted off the PlayStation 2, hooked up a red translucent 8mb memory card, and inserted a Disc I haven’t played since hitting double digits. F1 Career Challenge. This game is the reason why the band Hybrid's still in my record collection. It’s why I coerced my Dad into getting the Williams Licensed F1 Wheel. Its circuits, vehicles, and effects were something I endured not, once, not twice, but nearly four times bac...

University wasn't long for me. Got in, and got out. Though that's not meant to suggest I didn't learn anything, nor do I not carry its lessons to this day, and having spent University in a Documentary Studies course, American Vandal was a treat.

Free to Play (Kind Of)
There’s a lot of reasons people doubt Free to Play games. Be it their monetization, perpetual grind, or lacking the visual appeal and polish of full-priced games. Of course, that last point has been diminishing with time as more and more big-budget studios and publishers have flocked to the free to play model with games like Apex Legends, Fortnite, Warface, etc.
I’ve never avoided Free to Play games because of these reasons, but very few...

F1 2019 by Codemasters
Yeah, it's quite a shocker. I'm recommending... a sports game?
Well, it's really a driving game that just happens to be released yearly. I hadn't touched an F1 game since 2013 and even then, I hadn't really taken those earlier games seriously. It was a combination of not having the time to get invested, and having lost track of open wheel racing year...

Hey guys,
As we're nearing the end of the month I want to give an update about donations as I have a history of pausing if I determine not enough work is being put towards the channel to justify it.
I'm editing the latest video at this moment, so I feel comfortable leaving everybody to donate, just note that the video might be released within the final hours of June.
As always, thank you for support! Especially as this is Steam Sales month.

An Ending
The general sentiment I’ve been getting from E3 this year is while there were great games revealed, announcements made, and good people, something seemed off. It’s something even I, someone who isn’t as invested in the show couldn’t help but feel. It puzzled me as I was generally pleased with the games, and didn’t mind how many revealed to release next-year as most E3 release dates aren’t met anyways. But a friend finally put it into words.
