Resident Evil Multiplayer… Why?

You know what's truly terrifying?

The prospect of a Multiplayer game being worse than Umbrella Corps.

Coming up on hosting Multiplayer lobbies of weird games for a year, Umbrella Corps easily ranks as the most bizarre, poorly made, and utterly obtuse game of player vs player content I experienced.

Part of what makes it so baffling is how, when you start, messing around with...

What’s your opinion on this social media wave of obsession over movement and controls in FPS games? Like how people lose their shit when movements like sliding or sprinting gets tuned so slightly? It’s especially apparent in COD and Apex Legends Communities. Personally I think people are too sensitive on the matter and should focus on other aspects of skill.

I quote tweeted one of those posts... once.

I'd say I don't understand why bot...

Recommendations: The Boys

I've always been on the verge of recommending The Boys, but not only did I feel there were better shows, The Boys for all its enjoyment was a little too obnoxious in areas for me to be 100% board with.

The irony is, Season 3 is the loudest, most overt, and on the nose season yet, in its violence, topics, references, and characters... and I think that's why I kinda loved it.

It's become completely unique.

Whereas before, I felt at times like I was just reading the edgiest pan...

It's fascinating to see how much Crossplay, not the feature, but the sentiments surrounding it has changed.

Back in 2007, when asked the question if Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare would have Crossplay between PC and Xbox 360 players, the developers almost laughed the interviewer out of the room, yet in 2019, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare was one of the biggest games to not just allow it but full...

I admit, this album didn't immediately grab me.

I was judging it by the singles mindset, give me a banger like Seven Nation Army or Over and Over, but when working one day, letting this album run its course from start to finish...

I just find myself never wanting to end it.

The flow from one track to another is just fantastic pacing, and while there's other Jack White songs that'll get more plays from me, this is the first album that's stuck with me, plus, it does still have...

Finally... A Better Hotline Miami

I fuckin love Hotline Miami.

It's a 10+ year old 2D top-down, four-hour, two-man indie shooter made in GameMaker with music licensed by whoever said yes on Bandcamp, and it's still talked about fondly today, to the point where John Wick 4's big scene is attributed to it.

For a whole generation of gamers, who didn't grow up with SmashTV, Death Rally, GTA1+2, and Metal Gear, Hotline Miami <...

Do you have a target length when making your videos or is it something that unfold as the project progresses?

Yes, and no.

I often go in with the intention of making a longer or shorter video, but rarely does that actually pad out. Usually, the process starts with me trying to force a video into a certain category before finally giving in, and letting the video go as far as it needs to go.

Usually, I start with the fear that the...

Finally...

FINALLY.

Hotline Miami has been succeeded!

Or at the very least been matched, via this game's superb gameplay, crushing enemies, eerie atmosphere, an soundtrack that's Mick Gordon levels of intense.

Its games like OTXO that serve to remind me, despite all the games I've played, despite moving more away from shooting galleries over the years, there's still that inner-child that just loves a good rush, and OTXO easily meets that criteria.

Can't quite remember the last time I heard a Pop album have a track go so goddamn hard as Death of Me on PVRIS' 2020 project.

While the rest of the album ain't a Mick Gordon synth-concert, it is a wonderfully paced record with Lyndsey's vocals carrying so many tracks but especially Hallucinations and Old Wounds, where she's completely captivating whether barely a whisper or an epic screaming finale.

Thank you Arcane for introducing me!

After detective pikachu, sonic 1 &2, and the mario bros film; are video game movies entering into a possible good era or are they just exceptions? And ever seen Godzilla?

I think they've gotta catch up to Arcane, Edgerunners, Castlevania, and The Last of Us etc, because in-terms of movies to shows, there's no comparison.

I heard this movie described eons ago as the best video game movie ever made, and it's kinda true. Doesn't matter that the video-game never existed, not until the film's release as a tie-in, Scott Pilgrim's energy, pacing, and abstract nature, is very gamey.

Only, there's much better writing, characters, and themes than most video-games.

This shouldn't come as much of as surprise for some after my last post, but as someone who's never fully come around to the John Wick franchise, I have to tip my hat off to this installment.

Chad Stahelski really threw the book at this film, not just in-terms of the action scenes, which are easily the best they've ever been, but so to with its breath taking cinematography, phenomenal music selection, and scene chewing performances from multiple of its actors.

It's rather remarkable how Keanu Reeves managed to be a part of a whole other franchise where that generational gap is just as obvious.
