Introductions.

As I enter the final stage of the first release, I need something to contain my excitement as my workload has decreased somewhat. When I got sick of coding or rendering I'd just do the other for a while, but both are wrapping up. Waffling

I just realized I spelled waffles wrong lol. Annnnnywaaaaaaaay, the game has a hidden point system, I thought I'd look into a way of displaying them on a screen just so I could see them so I could keep count, turned into quite a simple relationship screen that is for now accessed from hacking into the quick menu down the bottom, progress, progress, progress. Progress progress progress.....

Hotspots are now official well and truly owned, map is working flawlessly.

Cannot work out an easy way to implement a time system so it can piss off for now, the mechanics of the game does not rely on it, the story progression does that. It is something I will work on but the first release or two won't have it.

Fuck you image maps

I been a bit quiet, I have been learning shit, I finally got imagemaps (hotspots) to work how I wanted them them too, jumping from the main screen to a map screen and to the screen you click on from there. In my head I think I have worked out using python and if statements to control time. Eg - Penny is only at the train station in the afternoons, if you click on the train station renp'y needs to know if its the morning or afternoon so it can display the correct image.

Chatting with Penny

Until I get more game play Penny is just someone you can go to the train station where she hangs out (weird I know) and talk too sometimes in the afternoon, depends on how much dialog I put in, or just sit with and the game will jump time 2 or 4 hours.

Beer time

My idea basically is have this outdoor world that progressively gets bigger in each chapter where things happen and/or you meet new people. Ive got one more outdoor scene in the pipeline and the first bit is done, not in the sense the first bit of the game is done, just the first bit for me, if that makes sense. None of these pictures in final as I do find mistakes or come up with something else.

I found this European town while looking for a town, I put it in Keyshot so I could zoom out and have a look at in real time and its fucking amazing. So now the game is going to be set in Europe in an undisclosed location.

Mini-Mart

Not sold on the lighting on the girls but the idea being, these two have no bearing on the game for now, however in the real world I like seeing random cute females around the place, so here and there where I can I will put random females in a scene sort of like a NPC. You will be able to interact with them but they will not influence the game play for now.

Apart from the house you live in there is going to be three or four main world locations that are significant for each chapter of the game.

Ive been going around this apartment room I have setting up scenes, this is Jades room for now anyway. Fucking lighting in the room as well as on the character without them looking washed out is something that I will grapple with for like ever lol.
