I've made a few edits on some of the previous illustrations to make them more coherent. Brian is now wearing a knitted jumper under his jacket to keep him warm, and who knows, maybe to give him a chance to survive the cold waters of the North Atlantic.

After wasting precious time in steerage, Joey, Brian, and Alba finally reach the boat deck to see that all the boats are gone! But Brian doesn't desist; there have to be more boats! They run towards the ship's bow, where they see officers getting a boat ready on the davits. Will they get there in time?

As the situation becomes clear, the third-class passengers gather in front of the bars that allow them access to the deck. But the Titanic's crew won't let them out, waiting for first and second class to occupy the lifeboats before letting them through.

Frustration grows; there's no time to waste, the situation is delicate, and every second counts. Brian, enraged, loses his patience, and seeing that it's us...

Someone is angry

Just a small note, though I love the trope of third class being locked inside the Titanic, there's little to no proof that this really happened. It's true that at the final moments of the Titanic, a group of hundreds of people from third class emerged on deck. The theory is that they were lost in the corridors because the Titanic was like a maze, especially in steerage.

But I couldn't resist drawing an angry Brian raging against a steward.

On Sunday, April 14, 1912, the RMS Titanic continued its journey as normal.

Joey, Brian and Alba enjoyed the peacefulness in the third-class open room. To pass the time, Joey was doodling a bit, allowing Alba to watch her.

Joey wasn't a great artist; she was self-taught, and she did it for her own enjoyment mainly. And yes, she couldn't deny that most of her sheets were filled with portraits of Brian. She liked to draw him, and he was always ready to pose for her.

I'll try to accelerate this AU not to eternise it, tho I wouldn't mind staying there for the rest of my life -joking- but gosh, I'm enjoying myself so much. I missed that part of creating a story and taking time with it.

[RDO] Titanic AU - 10th & 11th April 1912

On the 10th of April 1912, Joey, Brian, and Alba were in Southampton, ready to board the RMS Titanic. After spending some days in Scotland visiting Brian's parents and siblings, they were ready to return to the Wild West.

The RMS Titanic was the biggest and most luxurious Ocean Liner ever seen, and Brian was lucky enough to get third-class tickets for the family.

Whoever knows me a bit knows I'm obsessed with the RMS Titanic.
Some years ago I did a series of illustrations with my first RDO character Ellen Jones which can be found somewhere in my Twitter/X account if you dig deep enough.

Since I created Joey I have always wanted to make an AU with her, Brian and Alba on the Titanic.
