I've tried and failed to make this remix twice already over the years. Once in 2014, another time in 2018, and now I finally managed to make something out of it ^^;

So this one... I was reminded that it existed through New Horizon's wedding season event, and it's a song I really like, so naturally I felt it was a good idea to start working on it with that initial inspiration ^^
I'm getting increasingly sad that Reese and Cyrus aren't proper characters in New Horizons though, and that they were relegated to an event that just feels a little padded after the first few days... :c

Dire, Dire Docks, Jolly Roger Bay, the Mario 64 water music... whatever you call it it's pretty well-known, very beloved and only just a tiny bit infamous c;
I remember the N64 demo stations that used to be in stores back when the game came out. 9 times out of 10, people had left the game running in Jolly Roger Bay. Stuck on the first star, with the ship still at the bottom of the sea. No one seemed to be able to get that first star while playing the demo, but at least that result...

It's been a long time since I visited the Metroid franchise, but I felt it was about time.
The sugary sweet rush of Animal Crossing, DSi Elevator Music and the rest of the stuff I've made lately was getting to me, so here's the music equivalent of a blood sugar crash ^^;

This is a rare instance of me not having any kind of relationship with a song whatsoever before being asked to remix it ^o^;
It's very much like a sequel to the Wii Shop Channel's theme though, which I'm very familiar with, so I used emotions I have for that theme to try to relate to this one, and I hope it sounds alright c:

I didn't have time to make a unique April Fools video this year due to squeezing in Awake Now and Bubblegum K.K. week after week, so I had to find a way to use a remix for the prank. Luckily, this one lends itself perfectly to the role of both a prank, and a fun song to remix :D
