Have you noticed the chapters are shorter? I'm trying to get into a mode where I'm still writing self-contained chapters that are less 4k words each and more of the standard 2-3k. It makes it so I can bounce around subjects a little more, which is necessary with how many plans I have for the final book. I really, REALLY, don't want this to be 5 books long.
