Self Portraits Yesterday

I have decided I want to create more self portraits; yesterday I started along this journey. These aren't the best, but they're a start working with what I have. Details really intrigue me. A Fall Day on the Blue Ridge Parkway

Last month after hurricane Helene came through, Rhett and I decided we wanted to go up and be amongst our favorite natural scenery. The Appalachian Mountains provide those who are willing to look the opportunity to connect with the earth on a deeper level. The magic of this place is truly indescribable. Those of you who have ever pulled over on a mountain road by the river, took your shoes and socks off and dipped your toes in that cool, clean water know the magic I speak of.

There are several different styles of editing I will be including in this next set of photos with Brooke. I had bracketed my camera shots when I originally photographed these. What that means is the camera automatically took 3 photos, one with the settings I manually set in camera and then one photo exposed lower and one photo exposed higher.

This was a fun day before Hurricane Helene disrupted western NC. We pass this towering mountain overlook quite often on our mountain runs.
On this day, there weren't very many people out and about due to lingering storm clouds so we took that opportunity to take some photos. I hope you enjoy. <3
