Now we're getting into more recent stuff! You might've seen a few of these on my Twitter in the past few years. They've been a little scarce as opposed to around 2017, as I've been studying. Nowadays I find myself preferring quality, or rather a more thoughtful approach, to quantity. Whenever I have the time to make one of these, I try to focus on good color and good values!

A lot of these were made right after I got my iPad Pro, back in 2019! It's crazy how far the drawing technology has come from the soft "nipple" stylus that I used with the iPad 2 back in the day!

It's always a pleasure drawing on those occasional days when the art just flows and you don't need to overthink it! Those days are not super common but from my experience, practise can increase their occurance!

It's not often that I use animation to unwind, but while I was studying I was sometimes stuck with not-so-fun tasks and projects for long periods of time. So whenever I had a moment to myself, I'd just think up a stupid prompt and make a tiny, low effort animation! Most of them I didn't finish, so here's a little selection!

Unfortunately, the Grimace Shake was not available where I live, so I had to experience it vicariously through this video. I was also at the tail end of a cold so my voice was a bit rough! The 3D rig has since undergone an upgrade, so expect to see more of it soon!

Once i finished up with the big project, I was ready for a character acting challenge to stretch my animation muscles. I got inspired by the work of Sergio Pablos on Disney's Treasure Planet, where he was the lead on Doctor Doppler, so with that in mind I set out to animate one of Jerma's more unhinged bits!
