ARCHIVE PART 1

My PC is fixed! Thanks to all of you who reached out with concern and support, and thanks to all of you for your patience as I got the thing sorted. In the end I lost no data (thank Satan for backups) and I'm working hard to catch up. Thank you, also, to all of you for supporting me. Without this community to help me financially and in terms of giving my art direction and urgency I wouldn't be half the artist I am today.

So my old images are just stored in files on my hard drive called "temp". I've not been good about posting them and that's not right. You lot should have access to my work so I've decided to start uploading these old files in a series of archive posts. More will follow shotrly but for now, here's some of my oldest work. BE WARNED; there's no filtering here so you WILL see a boy in there here and there on occasion! Enjoy!

October so far

So this is an unusual post for me but my hard drive is in the process of melting down. Luckily I have everything backed up so nothing has been lost, but I've been doing nothing recently but troubleshooting and getting replacement parts. I should have all my gear tomorrow, then into the shop the next day and with any luck; up and running again before the end of the week. Much as I'd rather make more coherent posts my PC only works for short stretches at a time. Hopefully, though, these images will be enjoyable even if there's not much context!

SCUBA COMBATANTS DESIGN

Created a new scuba suit for an upcoming commission and a new underwater speargun for them to use. Since it's adapted from a tranq gun I figure the way it works is it fires a relatively small dart at fairly low velocity (to save propellant and maximize shots). Instead of killing by penetration or kinetic force (like a spear or bullet) it delivers a lethal dose of fast acting poison. Anyone hit by the weapon has several seconds to realize they've been hit and process the horror of knowing that, though they're fine at the moment in a few seconds they'll be dead and there's nothing they can do about it. purr PURR purrr

I NEED to do something with this character and space suit. I'm thinking she's some kind of gladiator who is sent down to a desolate planet to fight imported monsters until she (or the monsters) are all dead. I'm open to anything, though. What do we think? Ideas?

I adore Abby Anderson but for this series I thought she should have a somewhat more polished look so I redid her materials and hair to make her appear to come from a... well... cleaner world than the one the original character inhabits. What can I say? I like things to be surgically clean :D
