Simon was always very pampered and kind of sheltered as a kid, being bullied for his softer demeanor, eccentricity, and sometimes even his larger tail.
While very smart and open to different people, his origins (depending on the AU I'm entertaining) usually put him in noble or wealthy origins, from which he grows to begin feeling a little restrained by how much he always followed the rules.

Ask anyone who knows me: Sidescrollers and metroidvanias are hardly ever good at gripping my attention or giving me immersion, so the fact that Hollow Knight seems to hit all the right notes is just...kind of incredible!
The atmosphere, the sound direction, the combat, the level layouts, the character design, the lore; I can gush about this game for HOURS!!
The main character is extremely reminiscent to a certain one of my OCs, too, which makes the attachment all the greater!
