The king is playing 4-D chess while everyone else is too baffled to be playing anything, never mind checkers. Unless of course he's not playing at anything but because of his reputation, everyone thinks he is. Which I guess is still a 4-D chess move of a kind anyway. So, a bit of background about this. We were invited by TG Comics to do a story with a fairy tale slant. We finished it in time for January 1st 2023 and the compilation of numerous contributors came out in May 2023.
