Some Updates For Everyone

Hi All,

First, I have not gotten any health updates from Shipeng Lee. I know we all hold hopes that he will be well.

Some of you have noticed the sharp drop in Exiern's Patreon donor level. This is because Patreon has changed how they display the money I actually earn from the donations. Shipeng is in the hospital

Just got word that Shipeng is in the hospital. He says he does not know when he will get started on the next Exiern pages. Since we do have a buffer our update schedule will not be affected immediately - although his recovering is most important. He also mentioned something about adjusting the page costs so I will have to wait and see what he needs.

NEESE readers - I have the Black-And-Whites for your next two pages, so I will word bubble those and get them up this week for you.

Project Wonderful has been activated...

Hello all,

Just wanted to let you know that after much thought and review I have decided to switch Exiern's ads to Project Wonderful (PW). We're going to have some ugly "Your Ad Here" spots until the spaces get some traction. I will try and create fillers for them as well.

I don't know which way this is going to go with funds. If we lose a large portion of our advertising over the old method I may have to adjust the goals. If it makes more than we did before I will also do that, ...

Apology & Non-Preview

First, the apology - there was a misunderstanding with the art queue, and I must apologize that there will be no NEESE update this month. There will be two pages next month.

To soften the blow I offer this other misunderstanding. Shipeng and I are usually able to very clearly communicate when it comes to the artwork. But sometimes I get back panels which aren't quite what I am looking for.

This is one of them. It will be quite different when the page posts.

Within Striking Distance Of The Next Goal - But Is It A Goal You Want?

Thanks to all of you generous donors Exiern is within striking distance of its next goal. But I wanted to ask you all if it is really what YOU want, and propose something new for the $600 goal and beyond.

As you will see tomorrow, and as I have been dealing with over the weekend, our current ad provider has objected to how clothed some of the characters are, regardless of what is going on in the scene or what is censored. I hate this, purely from a storytelling ...

September's FULL PAGE Preview

Full Page Previews won't be a regular thing, but I made an exception here because; a) without the dialogue you can't possibly know what is going on, and b) Shipeng's shadow work was so gorgeous (at least to me) that I wanted to include the whole thing in context.

Honestly, I think this could be in a manga just as it is! (but the color version is very pretty as well!)
