P3/5D Rendering Practice

It's been waaay too long since I brushed up on my rendering and color skills. As much as I love keeping it simple when it comes to this aspect of art, I think it's time to level up again. So, here's a few pieces of focused practice for your viewing pleasure.

Booty prac- Er.. I mean rear view practice.

I've neglected my ability to draw "from behind" views for too long. So I'm doing some more focused practice on these... particular angles.

Thankfully any reason to draw butts can never be boring. Numbers are the order I drew them in, circled were drawn with no/minimal reference, squares are with reference.

Feb 2020 PSD Pack

HD Pack for February '20

Small pack this month, but I think it follows the idea of quality over quantity just fine.

Pausing the sketch tier for a bit.

Because my wrist decided to be lame and inflamed this month, I'm going to be approaching art a bit slower for the next month or two to insure it heals back to full capability. So, the sketch tier will be hidden for a while.

Those of you who paid for sketches this month will obviously still get them, so no worries there. Thanks in advance for being patient with me ;)

Once I've finished the sketches that are due... I'll still be quietly open for regular commissions, but on a one at ...

P5 Sleepover Scraps

Fun fact: The Ann Takamaki art I just posted on twitter was actually going to be the first in a full sleepwear series. But once I was close to finishing her, I decided I had much better theme ideas that would be more interesting for both me and the viewer, and this idea was better served as a one-off for Ann.

So the other sketches I did alongside Ann were scrapped... but obviously I don't want that work to be wasted. So, here's a look at what almost was.

January 2020 PSDs

PSDs! I decided to not include sketches in PSD packs going forward, as they're not all that interesting to look at, and this lessens the time I spend putting these packs together. Feedback on this decision is more than welcome!

HD Pack for January

Calling an early end to this month of art, so you're all getting this HD Pack a bit early!... for two reasons actually:

As I mentioned a bit ago (I'll be making another post about this shortly) High-res packs are now their own tier. However, you've all already paid for this month, possibly hoping for this High-res pack, and I don't want to rip you off. So, until January is officially over this is still available to all patrons.

Torso Practice 1

First Patreon exclusive sketch in a while. I'm going to be doing these more often. They'll be mostly practice but I'll try to sneak in more interesting stuff here and there.

Some torso practice! Before last year I could count all of the times I did focused practice sessions on one hand, but I've been impatient with my progress lately, so I figured I should sit down and do real study sessions more often. And as you can see, I take these sessions very seriously.

December 2019 PSD Pack

First off, thank you to all of you for helping me reach the PSD tier goal!

Here's the first ever PSD pack. I wasn't expecting to reach the goal so suddenly so some of the PSDs aren't as interesting or as layered as I would like, but there are definitely some interesting techniques and unused layers to be found inside.

I hope those of you who wish to learn something are able to do so, and those of you who are simply curious are satisfied while looking through the files.

"Caught You Peeking" Animation Practice

A quick attempt at a mostly frame by frame animation.

I have taken small jabs at animation before this, but that was more for fun, and a less dedicated effort to learn anything.

This is a quick attempt to see what I could figure out without any formal or in depth lessons, just something to help me see where I should start on my journey. Now that I've seen where I really struggle... the real practice begins.

Love is War scraps

I've got some scraps for you! This is a weird and rare case where I finish sketching faces and hair, but neglect to finish the rest of the piece.

I was planning on making two versions. One completely SFW with Kaguya and the Prez's condescending expressions, and another a bit more lewd but not necessarily NSFW, with the duo being much more embarrassed and blushy.

I still debate returning to this and completing it, but I think the window of opportunity has passed.... That said, neve...

P3 Halloween Scrap

By far my largest and most time consuming piece of art to date, and it unfortunately ended up as a scrap. Real world obligations made it take too long to deliver before or during Halloween, and lack of interest made me feel as if it wasn't worth completing.

But it doesn't have to be a waste of time now, as it was at least completed enough to make a great Patron Only post!
