There was no skill up for fixing all of Komachi’s gear, which was only in need of a light layer of TLC. Perhaps it was because most of her gear wasn’t very strong, or that it wasn’t in need of much repair.
Her [Flamewool Cloak] was the worst off, but Sam was able to fix it up before it became threadbare. Nowhere was it more obvious that he was using magic by doing [Basic Maintenance] than with Komachi’s cloak.

Climbing the [Makeshift Rope] up to Sam’s Skyshard was easier and faster than ever with his newly attained [Traversal] skill.
He went up, hand over hand, without bothering to grip the rope with his ankles. It was as close to effortless as he had ever experienced.

Sam highly doubted that the [Evasion] skill was only available to the Swordsman Job. He was curious to see what another Job’s take on it would be.
While useful, he didn’t technically need it to avoid damage. Having more stats and a greater [Armor Foundation] seemed to help considerably.
To that end, [Traversal] might benefit him as well, plus all the other things it naturally did. The fact that the skill diminished falling damage appealed to Sam greatly.

Slowing down, the fury bled out of the Chaos Sage. The enemies were felled, those that threatened the Tree repelled.

Sam plummeted through the air while Komachi screamed.
Then he realized that was him screaming. Komachi, of course, yowled her head off.

Eventually, Sam had to cut their training sessions completely when it became obvious that they were closing in on Raiko’s Skyshard.
Nearly every hour, Matt had to supply Raiko with extra mana just to keep her conscious, much less coherent.

Sam rushed at the trio, aiming for Kai first, because he was the biggest threat. As he fought, using only hands and feet out of fairness, Sam wondered about how he could use Void mana more effectively.
He had already used [Void: Surge] once and while it felt absolutely broken in terms of strength, it nearly wiped out all of his MP from channeling it for two seconds.

In the future, Sam wanted another option than just jumping onto another floating island in order to explore it. He also planned to find a way to lengthen the window of time in which his own Skyshard could stay in one place. Better yet, become temporarily tethered to another.
Thinking of them like that, he started to see Skyshards more like boats. You needed docks, anchors, and things like that to manage their movement.
