LTW Book 4 Chapter 78: Victoria and Incredible Offer

Confusion and fear were the two primary emotions going through everyone's minds.

Lone was overtaken mostly by interest while Hazel was trying her best to see if anyone in the room knew anything important pertaining to their situation.

"Hiss," the soft sound of a snake calling him filled Lone's ears.

"Hmm? Hungry, are you, Greed?" Lone asked.

In response, the critter which was wrapped around his bicep nodded fervently. "Okay, let's eat, but not th...

SIS Book 3 Chapter 92: At The Roll of a Dice and Who Among You?

'How?! How is this possible?!' Jim Tucker was maintaining a calm smile on his face, however, his mind was a mess.

He and Daz had rolled a total of five times thus far and the rolls had gone like this; Daz: 6, 6, 6, 6, 6, Jim: 1, 1, 1, 1, 1.

It made absolutely no sense to him. Shouldn't it have been the other way around? Mayor Rickley had asked for a break so he could speak to Jim privately for a moment, which Daz happily allowed.

"What's goin...

LTW Book 4 Chapter 77: Amber Foxkin and Kidnapped

Lone was sitting in the slums of one of Felron's border cities - Asteroth - which had yet to be hit by the mass-kidnappers.

He had a strange-looking flute to his mouth and he was playing it horrendously as Greed happily danced about in the basket in front of him which he'd put her in to act as a little show.

Hazel was milling about at his side silently reading the minds of everyone that stared at them for too long. It was hard to read specific thoughts in th...

SIS Book 3 Chapter 91: Brother of Luck and Sandy's Intuition

"No! How could I lose?!" a young man in his early twenties shouted as he grasped at his hair in frustration. "You... You cheated!"

The handsome 30-or-so-year-old man with dyed-blonde hair wearing a silky purple shirt that was tucked into his pure white pants sneered at the man. He tightened his grip on the breast that was cupped in his hand, resulting in the woman sat on his lap moaning light. "As if I'd ever need to cheat against you. Accept your loss, or keep screaming an...

"Hi, Greed, I missed you too," Lone said in a joyful tone as the tiny albino snake slithered up his leg and coiled around his bicep.

Scott shivered. "That's really creepy."

Emma looked at him funny. "Are you scared of snakes?"

"No, I'm scared of creepy things," Scott countered.

George looked confused. "But it's kinda cute."

"It's powerful is what it is," Hazel said. As a B-ranker, she could easily feel the waves of power rolling off of the t...

"C'mon, kids, thank young Miss McArthur for showin' ya her sword skills," the elderly lady from Nevada, Jesabelle, said.

The group of 30 or so young girls and boys all aged between 5 and 12 replied, "Thank you, Miss McArthur!"

Jesabelle smiled under her cowboy hat. "Now don't go complainin' when I give y'all yer homework tonight, ya hear?"

"Yes, Miss Loderman!" the children answered.

Vice-headmaster Merkel was right. A month passed and Lone had been perfectly shunned by a good portion of the staff while almost every single human student ignored him entirely or actively avoided him.

His Wondrous Emporium suffered as well. Rumours had gotten around amongst the nobles of Lone's vicious duel with Professor Fredley, and coupling that with the Church of the Primal's official stance on what had happened at Mystopolis' cathedral between Bishop Samson, the seeke...

"I don't have time to waste on you," Daz coldly declared to the good-looking man that had approached him after having spoken to Aila.

"Well too bad, 'cause you're gonna have to," the man replied as a pair of boxing gloves materialised around his fists and he then swung for Daz's face.

Easily dodging the admittedly rather fast and powerful blow, Daz summoned Hamson and immediately use it to smack the back of the man's head like a baseball with its flat side.

"Isn't it crazy that Professor Fredley is letting him use more than just magic?"

"What difference does it make? It's not like he'll injure him either way."

"I mean, duh, Professor Fredley is insanely powerful. He was a candidate to be the advent of lightning in his youth, after all."

"Right. I'm more surprised that the ninetails has an item that can store so much MP and it's insane that he's so willing to show it publicly. I'd be a bit more discreet if I owned t...

The two men watched anxiously as Rachel's face morphed into one of confusion. Her eyes scrunched up and she looked... lost.

"We've arrived," the employee said. Not a beat later, the elevator's door opened, revealing a single hallway with a door at the end of it.

Seeing that the woman was just standing there like a statue now with her hands clasped at her waist and her head bowed politely, Daz pushed Rose out of the elevator.

Just before the two of them reached the door down the corridor, Rose said, "Let me do all of the talking. If I get flustered or cornered, step in and work your awkward...

Eolande balanced her quill atop her upper lip and under her nose in disinterest as she listened to the teacher rant on and on about the fundamentals of enchanting magic.

Decisions Have Been Made!

1. Maybe the most important of the 4 decisions, in regards to the major poll from a few days ago, I have thoroughly read all of your lovely comments and taken note of the votes. As it currently stands, the general opinion is that it would be good to increase the SIS chapter count at the cost of LTW chapters, however, there are a few powerful voices (long-time patrons who regularly like and/or comment) that have stated the...

In regards to SIS, how would you feel if I changed how the bank merit points work?

I feel like this is a pretty significant change, so I don't want to just do it without first having a discussion and hearing your thoughts about it.

I'm sure a lot of you have felt it, but SIS is pretty slow right now, and this is pretty much exclusively due to the merit points. There are a few other reasons, but those can be worked around.

I personally think that to improve the story and make it more engaging and exciting, I'd need to make merit points harder to get.

How would you feel if LTW went down to 1 chapter per week while SIS went up to 3 chapters per week?

Why am I even asking this, you may be wondering. Well, at this point, SIS is easily twice as popular as LTW is over on Royal Road and receives roughly 6-7 times more views per week, and writing more chapters for it per week will only help increase that popularity by further cementing its place highly in the Popular This Week ranking list.

Also, LTW has never been less popular on Royal Road than now due to the messy cut between the rewrite and the old content, so I feel like I'm hurting ...
