Lone shook his head after recalling his experience with Darkness and tapped into the element's power. Unfortunately, it had a very visual effect.
"Lone-ro! Your fur!" Lossa called out in shock.
Indeed, Lone now looked exactly like the version of himself that was inside of Darkness' Pyramid. Deep purple tails, hair and eyes.
"Don't worry, I'm perfectly fine," Lone said. His voice sounded far more relaxed and soothing than it usually did. This was another side-effec...

"Are you sure about this, Lone? We don't really need them to beat the Dungeon, right? Can't you just forget about those dangerous powers?" Sophie asked Lone with a concerned expression plastered across her face while she, Lone and Eolande sat in one of his iconic cabins in floor seventy-three's waiting area.
Lone shook his head at Sophie's worry. "These powers are inside my body without my permission and they take control of me when I get really emotional. How can I feel confident...

"SHOVEL SMASH!" Daz roared before slamming an Automaton in the face with Hamson, sending it flying away through the army of robots, destroying it and knocking over at least twenty more of its kind.
Crusher grinned menacingly before jumping away from Daz and Rimmy right into the Robots. She ignored the damage they were doing to her body and crouched before getting into a stance. "Strength Enhancement!"
A light blue aura wrapped around Crusher and she pulled her...

A sea of Robots appeared roughly a thousand meters away from Fort Skip in the grasslands. There were at least two-thousand of those Robots. They all looked identical and stood on two legs like Humans. 'So like I suspected, not only will we get attacked by fantasy monsters, but sci-fi ones as well? Higher Identification.'

Lossa led Lone through the hallways and occasionally he could see through an open door and he was surprised by how well everyone here was treated. Everyone living here had anything they could wish for, it seemed. Food, entertainment, rest, whatever they wanted.
It warmed Lone's heart seeing that the Crimson Foxkin Clan cared for it's poorly and loved them regardless of their impending death. Lossa noticed this appreciative attitude of Lone's with a glance.
"Beastkin rar...

Before leaving Sandy, Daz had asked if he'd like to have an assault rifle and stand atop the walls to help protect the base, but he refused. Sandy had assisted slightly yesterday at the end and the experience frightened him.
Sandy knew he could help, but he felt like his time would be better spent working on his new blacksmithing hobby. In his own words, if he could help on the walls, then anyone else could. There were plenty more people to hold a gun atop the ramparts in his...

Things proceeded smoothly after the contracts were formed. Trella was still wary of Lone, but he remained silent and refused to express any emotion regarding Lone's promise to heal his and Tiera's parents, even if he was very excited in reality.
Lone's group left the Pagoda with the two Foxkin children and were met by Eolande, Lossa and the two High Elves, Al'ka and the woman whose name Lone still didn't know.
Lossa had expectant eyes when she looked at the children, Ti...

Thankfully for Daz, sleep wasn't a requirement for him since he was a Reaper. Asking the system what the time was, Daz became a bit startled. "Time sure does fly when you're in the company of friends, huh? It's already eight in the morning. Only four hours until the attack starts."
Rimmy titled his head in response before he stuffed a few gems inside the holes on his face. Daz had rambled on and on about this or that to Rimmy while the stoic Golem moved his head and hands alo...

"But...no...you...how? The Humans...you...how are you alive?" Trella was confused and scared. Tiera had clasped her hands in front of her chest and was saying a prayer of some sort while she cried silently in joy.
Mixed and complicated emotions could be seen on Lone and Sophie's faces while Swind looked like he didn't understand what was going on.
"I don't remember much, but I was captured by Humans and forced into slavery," Breena explained in the hope to alleviate some of ...

A few hours passed since then and Daz was now sitting on one of the ramparts' battlements with his enchantment book placed on his lap. His legs were dangled over the wall and he sighed.
"I still can't understand this enchantment business," Daz mumbled to himself. Despite having spent a few hours yesterday and today, he wasn't able to make any progress at all and it frustrated him.
"Maybe I'm not cut out to be an enchanter? I was hoping to increase my strength with this....

The first thing Daz did was head to the training area. On his list of skills to improve were; Throw and Retrieve his ranged melee skill, Shovel Smash his signature move, and finally, he wanted to learn a new skill related to shooting since he felt like a pistol would be exceedingly useful against other people.
Daz was surprised to see the training area so empty when he arrived. Not a soul was in sight. He knew that most people spent their time in the outer layer of Fort Skip ...

Something of an awkward silence took a hold of the room. Lone felt nervous. He had truly acted disgracefully towards these two children. It sickened him. He could blame the fact that he had entered a new world and was on edge, but Lone knew he'd be lying to himself.
The torture he put these two children through seriously haunted Lone ever since his encounter with Clicker and his later realisation of how mistaken his attitude had been. It was wrong, and he needed to make amends.

Daz spent a good hour on edge, doing nothing more than asking the system question after question and thinking about what he should spend his remaining points on. As a result, he had learnt exactly what every stat he owned did and what they affected.
He had never checked this before, at least not in depth, and he could only slap himself in the knee for that. It helped him a lot now that he actually knew what the stats did. Daz could only chalk this error up to the fact that Rimmy w...

Daz had immediately checked the system to see if he could afford this 'automated defence system' for his base, but he was out of luck. It required base points, of which, he had none remaining.
Seeing no other option, he had to return to Fort Skip immediately. "Crusher, you have more strength than me. Would you mind running as fast as possible back to Fort Skip? I don't have the time to explain, but the base might be under attack."
Crusher's eyebrow inched up in respons...

"So, Rose," Daz said while he pushed Rose's wheelchair down the street, trying his best to avoid any debris or things blocking their path. Crusher was walked alongside them. "What's your weapon?"
"My laptop," was Rose's short reply.
"Your...laptop?" Daz was stupefied. Could a laptop be classified as a weapon? He had encountered a few strange weapons thus far, like Fiona's art pencil or Dorian's umbrella, but a piece of machinery? To sate his curiosity, he immediately used Hi...

"...Master?" Breena asked doubtfully. She was unsure of what to do. This was the first time anyone had ever sensed her when she was hiding in the shadows, and she didn't know if she could trust Lossa just yet.
"It's fine, you can come out, Breena," Lone replied with a soothing and calm tone.
Breena then stepped out from Lone's shadow and Lossa eyes immediately widened. Naturally, as a Foxkin, Breena was fairly beautiful, but what had shocked Lossa, was how young Breena looke...

Sabrina returned shortly afterwards, and according to her, she couldn't find any traces of the mysterious instigator that Lone had mentioned. He didn't find this to be particularly surprising considering the person had used magic, and Sabrina had no talent for that. Lone judged that the hooded figure had more than likely teleported away or something similar.
Thankfully for both Lone's group, and for Sabrina, the rest of the voyage went smoothly. Sophie recovered from her...

"So, Daz," Crusher said while they walked through the city together. "Why aren't we taking one of those fancy trucks with us?"
"I doubt we'll be able to use them properly for a while," Daz replied passively.
"Why's that?" Curiosity filled Crusher's muscular face.
"Simple. Too much debris and too many cars on the roads. It was a hassle bringing them back, and I only got them because they'll be useful once I fix up this city," Daz explained.
Like he said,...

Lone was now seated in his own room and only he, Sophie, and Kyuubi were present. Sophie was asleep and recovering from using all of her mana against the Ogres, while Kyuubi was peacefully snoozing atop of her.

"You're leaving again so soon?" Crusher asked Daz while she finished up polishing her sledgehammer.

Looking toward Al'ka, Her 'Highness' spoke in her native tongue. "Please tell him that I am glad that he is safe and that I hope the World Tree can continue to bless him on his path."

Daz was sitting alone in his cabin and he had been there for quite some time now. He had been browsing the shop and very carefully looking at all of the SS-rank (Middle Tier) skills.

While he had looked at a few of the SS-Ranked (Lower Tier) skills before deciding on his Higher Identification, he had only viewed r...

Nimbly dodging a cudgel blow that would have undoubtedly crushed Lone, he slashed at one of the remaining nineteen Ogres' legs with his sword spear, Dawn.

Lone immediately used his most powerful skill, Mental Destruction, on the closest Orge, spending five thousand of his remaining MP on the attempt.
A split-second later, the creature grabbed its head and violently thrashed around, alarming the other Orges. It took no more than five seconds for the beast to stop moving completely. It was dead.

Jumping a little bit, Dorian turned his head and smiled weakly at the second strongest person in Fort Skip. "I'm sorry, I didn't see you there, Crusher. Did you need me for something? Al...

Going back to the moment the Relks had attacked the Galleon, just before Lone was going to charge at the red-furred monsters, he felt his arm being tugged. He turned to see Sophie with her eyes closed. "Soph?"
