LTW[R] B2: Chapter 54: Speaking One's mind and Lying? Never

A/N: What? Two chapters on time this week? Even if this LTW one is cutting it super close, it's also just shy of 3,000 words. Complete win in my books. Enjoy.

A/N: Yay, I finally posted a chapter on schedule. Enjoy. c:

Daz wasted no time. As soon as Mu and Crusher had left his throne room, he posed a question to the system mentally, 'Is there some sort of special screen where I can interact with my entire empire all at once, system?'

[The host must be an [Emperor] to access that information. Confirmed the host's ruling status to be that of an [Emperor]. Yes. There is such an in...

"Well," the dwarven arbiter started, "it certainly isn't 'lady'. I suppose knowing my name's fair enough though. I'm pretty famous in all of the western kriegs, to be honest. What on account of me being one of the only there arbiters that specialise in representing beastkin criminals this side of the Daylight Split. I'm Sonya Forgegulf."

'Ah, the dwarven legal system has lawyers for different species? Interesting. I wish I knew more about Milindo's legal system. Shame I only saw the...

SIS B5: Chapter 5: Shovel Testing and Majestic Gains

"Any suggestions for a simple edict that I can use for the test?" Daz asked Lyle though he wouldn't mind if Crosius offered an idea too despite not being an active part of the conversation.

Lyle frowned. "I still wish to advise against using it at all in truth, but if you insist, I do have some ideas. I would assume the more vague and impactful the edict, the more durability of the item it consumes, and, consequentially, your lifespan."

Daz nodded, having reached the same conclusi...

Chapters coming today.

No real excuse for the long delay. I wasn't sick or on holiday or anything. I just had a major bout of lacking motivation. Hell, I didn't even reply to RR comments for the past month and I reply to all comments within 24hours usually.

I did enjoy writing and editing the SIS chapter I'll be posting in a few minutes though (book 5 chapter 5) and I've done a lot of reading in the past month.

I've learnt some new things about writing, got new ideas for both my stories. A bunch of cool...

SIS B5: Chapter 4: Ranking Rewards and Heavenly Edict

A/N: Back from both my week-long holiday in England (where I could not, for the life of me, write a word on my laptop. I have been institutionalised by my mechanical keyboard) and from refurbishing my room. Both draining activities and both over now, so we're back to the normal weekly schedule!

LTW[R] B2: Chapter 52: Daily Journal and Annoyed Guest

"Well, that was informative," Lone thought aloud as he put the communication orb back into his Dimensional Storage.

In essence, the guild couldn't really do anything to help bar delay his sentencing if he could contact them and lobby for their aid.

One of the main reasons The Adventurer's Guild was a leading power across the entire continent was because it respected the sovereignty of the kingdoms, empires, and other such ruling bodies it created branches in.

As much as the ...

"... While such an arrangement surely looks to be entirely beneficial when viewed from your perspective, that certainly isn't true for me and my administration," the former president claimed.

Daz lightly shook his head, thinking to himself, 'No mention of your people? Only yourself and your government? Very telling.'

It hardly helped the elderly man's case that Daz could feel waves and waves of corrupted righteousness pouring out of his emotions.

"You will fall unde...

"I only just put the brush in your hair... Well, let's see how many levels a single session will get me, shall we?" Lone asked Kyuubi.

The sleepy fox yawned before replying with, "Kyuu..."

Lone chuckled then got to work taking care of his adoptive daughter-slash-pet-fox. He carefully brushed every strand of fur, properly fluffed her ta...

"S'been a while since yer last visit, buddy," Cecil said as he yawned.

Daz nodded stoically as he got his bearings. The graveyard seemed mistier than normal, but otherwise, it was the same as he recalled it being.

"I've been spending a lot of time training my internal energy and my Embers, as of late. Sorry for not coming to the dreamscape more often," Daz apologised.

Cecil shrugged as he adjusted his position atop the gravestone he was perched upon. "Doesn't bother me too m...

Daz nodded approvingly as he arrived at El Dorado. He had been meaning to come here for days since the moonlight had been gathered for quite some time now.

Were it not for Crusher's sudden evolution and the need to attack the Truthians swiftly before her eventual discovery, he likely would have visited the wondrous city of gold earlier.

Still, here he was, ready to get another Star of Eternity before he was forced to deal with the old president of the states as well as the leader ...

"What the..." the leading guard muttered in shock.

He sprinted up to Lone and grabbed him by his collar - a difficult challenge given the height difference. "Oi, ya foxy cunt! Where'd ya put 'at?! It's worth more than ye could ever make in yer lifetime."

'Doubtful considering I've literally made ruby-gold coins in the past...' Lone's smile widened. "I have no idea what you're talking about." He the...

SIS B5: Prologue: World Leaders and Troubled Wizard

In the middle of London, in the newly constructed McArthur palace, Alison McArthur sat with her legs crossed and with an expectant look on her face.

Before her stood a man who, much like her, had a crown sat atop his head. This was not her husband however, no. It was the ruler of the pesky little sovereign territory bordering her own known as 'Wales'.

"We've spent a long time discussing it, Empress McArthur," the foreign monarch spoke.

Nodding, Alison replied, "I trust you'v...

LTW[R] B2: Chapter 49: Level-Ups and I'm Keeping This

Lone had practised a variety of skills on the trip back from Urd Grun. He'd even sparred with a good number of the rescued dwarves.

All of them only used weapons he already had mastery in and not a single one was a mage or anything even remotely unique. Still, they employed different battle tactics and some were even stronger than Lone rank-wise.

Hell, three of them could apply stats. Strength, Vitality, and Luck respectively. The Luck one was incredibly hard to hit and somehow al...

LTW[R] B2: Chapter 48: Missing Dwarves and Explosive

The missing dwarves were easier to find than both Lone and Hamish had first assumed they would have been.

Knowing how tricky Darkness could be, Lone has expected some sort of illusion riddled trap to block them or send them around in circles for days. Soph assured him however that her Mana Sensing couldn't detect such a thing.

No, instead, she had actually discovered that inside of a chapel dedicated to the Stone, a spiral staircase led thousands of metres deep down to a large and...

It didn't take long for Daz and Crusher to return to Fort Home. They had flown a decent distance with their weapons but once Daz had cleared his head a bit, he took out his car and using that, they were back to New Earth's capital before sundown.

Thunderous applause and unending screams of joy and celebration were not among the things that met them upon their arrival as one might expect for returning war heroes.

The recent shaking of the planet had caused too much destruction and ...

Breena nodded a little. "T-Thanks..."

"Stop, that," Madison ordered her.

Rose glanced down and noticed that she had subconsciously begun biting on her fingernails in worry.

Who could blame her? Her idiot of a brother had just entered the mythical city of the Truthians with nothing but a Star of Eternity and Rimmy by his side.

Logic would dictate that he should already be a cold corpse on the ground, dead at the hands of those cardinals but he had somehow avoided death numerous times even despite having the syste...

He would have used his Crystal Digger's Master Identification on them but as soon as he and Rimmy had stepped through the doorway leading them here, they had been cut off from the system and the door ...

'Really? Even though I started hovering just before the impact? I did cover myself in my Ember of Endurance, but for it to gain mastery so easily...' Daz thought as he dodged an incoming chunk of the cathedral that was heading his way.

To gain mastery meant to obtain new understanding. It wasn't as simple as just taking more damage, hence his mild surprise.

He wore rounded glasses with no legs that sat perfectly atop the bridge of his nose. He had short, swept-back brown hair and a bit of a messy stubble.

Around him were numerous desks, all littered with n...
