Here is Part 1 of 2 videos I am making about my Zhou Zishu (Word of Honor) commission. In this video, I will be showing how I made the under garments, tunic, and belt of this cosplay. The next video will be about the over coat.
I want to thank my friend Dean on Instagram for helping me understand some of the Chinese terms for these garments. I want to thank Dean for letting me use their art in my videos. We both pretty new at learning about historical Chinese garments. If some of the ...

In this video, I go into detail on how I made Bell's red flower dress from Mamoru Hosoda's movie Belle. The work was a month and a half long process, mostly because I work full time. I hope you enjoy this video and look forward to showing you the next project!
If there is a type of video you would like to see, just leave a comment! It can be about books I used for sewing or crafting references or a video on competing in contests. I don't mind branching out on making videos ...

Here is how I made a Chinese Hanfu over coat. Sorry that I forgot to record the last half of the process of making it. Still trying to get into the hang of video recording. I enjoy making hanfu and hope to have more videos out in the future. Also not use to doing voice over programs, so I hope this is ok ><
I am currently in the process of filming my next two videos and I promise to record all of it this time!
Thank you Ara for sending me videos of you in the cospla...

Over Halloween weekend at Anime Weekend Atlanta, I did a second photo shoot with Kat. This time with my Heine-sensei from the manga/anime The Royal Tutor. Heine is one of my favorite cosplays that doesn't get a lot of attention, but making the jacket and his tiny hat was so much fun! I hope you enjoy these photos and maybe makes you want to check out the anime!

During Anime Weekend Atlanta 2021, we did a photo shoot of the Wedding cosplays. After so many months of sewing and hand stitching I was so happy to finally do photos of these outfits.
Our photographer was Angelic Daze Photography. It was a lot of fun working with her and maybe next time I am back in Atlanta, GA, I can hire her again. I actually did another shoot with her that weekend so please keep your eyes out for that!

These cosplays were a two year project from gathering supplies in 2019 to actually start sewing them on Nov 2020. This video is to showcase how I put on these Chinese Wedding Hanfu onto my dressform. After finishing the dressing of the dressform, I have included close up clips of the outfits, so you can see some of the details. Hope you enjoy this short video and thank you for all your support!

16 hours of goldwork embroidery condensed into 14 minutes. Enjoy! A better quality will be loaded on YouTube in a week.
"Goldwork is the art of embroidery using metal threads, or threads with metal leaf wound round a normal textile thread. It is particularly prized for the way light plays on it. The term "goldwork" is used even when the threads are imitation gold, silver, or copper." -Wikipedia

With conventions slowly started back up, I got myself vaccinated and looked at conventions I be interested in attending. I decided after a long debate that Anime Weekend Atlanta felt like the best con to go to. It will be later in the year on Halloween Weekend. I didn't want to attend a con to early since things could change and the later date made it easier to decide if it was ok to go to or not.
This will be my second time attending Anime Weekend Atlanta. This time around, I will be...

The first time I cosplaying abroad was in Indonesia in 2015. It was a college graduation gift to myself. This trip was for fun, I was not a guest star there. When I started to cosplaying in 2013, I slowly became friends with cosplayers in Indonesia. While I was about to graduate in 2014, I asked my friends in Indonesia if I could visit them and they said yes! This video is about that time and what I experience the first time traveling abroad for cosplay. Please enjoy! I hope I was able ...

Since I moved to my new place, I have not been able to investigate photographers in the area. So I just went out with a friend to take some photos. However, the weather was super cold so we were not able to take a lot. Hopefully next time I do photos it be nice out! Please enjoy these photos. Undertaker is still one of my favorite cosplays to wear.

This blog post is going to focus on books I use a lot when working on different cosplays. I wouldn't say that this will be useful to beginner sewers, but if you have an understanding of basic sewing then this will be helpful.
A lot of my cosplay requires skills like modifying patterns and
designing your own patterns, to bead work and hand embroidery.

This short blog post will go inside the pattern, fabric, and beads used in the making of my Yona Sword Dance cosplay. Laying out any issues I ran into while putting together the project, and explaining what I used to make parts of the cosplay.
The fabric I used for the cosplay included four different types. Lavender poplin was used for the main parts of the dress. For the cuffs, collar, hat, and hem I used a light weight navy denim fabric. The sash was made of a multicolored striped si...
