[RotD] Epilogue: A Lost Bunny and The Abyss

Time was a strange concept. One that the murder bunny hadn’t known too well before. It understood day and night, but time? Time was something new. A different understanding.

What was also new were the glowing words. The bunny had come to like them. Closing its eyes, it tried to bring the words back out, displaying them in front of it.

[RotD] 50 — Hellion's Judgement

Noah opened his eyes to a bright light. It was the kind of light he’d typically only ever experienced at the dentist, somewhere he’d only really been to once as a kid, where they had pointed a flashlight right in his face and then instructed him to stay still under that torture somehow.

Blinking, Noah looked as his vision began to clear, as a figure appeared in front of him. It was a woman with blonde hair, and golden eyes. Two dark black wings came forth out of her back. She was ad...

[RotD] 49 — Flames of Fury

Fire. That was all Aurelia saw in her vision. Anger boiled in her mind like a frenzied flame, ready to consume everything, including her. Everything she’d held back, every emotion, and all the rage now burst forth in an inferno.

Aurelia rushed forward, her fists glowing like the two suns as she struck Garett. Her fists created dents in his armor, turning the metal hot enough to flow from the impacts as she continued to pummel him.

The warrior’s claymore swung, striking at her,...

[RotD] 48 — Cultist Chaos

The Abyssal and Crimson chiefs made their way from atop the altar, looking at the two of them in surprise.

“Have you gone insane?” the Abyssal chief roared. “We told you to keep this as secret as possible. And you brought adventurers right to our door!”

“I didn’t,” Garett replied, glancing back at the chief. “She was dead. I’d handed her off to the cultist hideout south of Layfar, near the Lost Woods. There’s no way for her to have gotten out of there....

[QiMC2] Final Color Panels

Here's the full colored panels for the start of the webcomic! I'm still in testing phase and looking at different art styles, with this being the first one to complete.

Chapters for Qi will be resuming soon as well. I plan to begin posting on RR from this upcoming monday onwards, and will post at least 5 chapters here ahead of RR before that starts.

[RotD] 47 — Battle Traps

Noah watched the world fly by in a blur beneath him from atop the Wyvern’s back. Open fields, forests, villages and such all meshed into a giant canvas as they flew amidst the clouds. Noah kept a tight grip on the edge of his saddle, trying his best not to slip an inch. Despite the fast speed they were moving at, the journey was surprisingly quiet, with a pocket of air diverting the harsh torrents of wind.

“You don’t seem too excited about flying? People tend to have a much strong...

[RotD] 46 — Take off

Pain assaulted Noah’s senses all at once. The sensation was sharp, like a piercing knife directly plunged into the back of his skull, carving its way through his brain. It was as though his soul was being wrangled and torn apart under a light so bright it seared through his bones.

Noah’s vision blacked out, his senses leaving. For a moment, a long agonizing moment, there was nothing but darkness, and the pain that he suffered within it.

The sensation came and went before he’...

Noah walked into the shop with Aurelia, although his mind still kept lingering on Aurelia’s words. The shopkeeper Josiah greeted the two of them, walking up.

“Ah, firebird, you were gone for a while. Here for your gauntlets I take it,” Josiah said.

“Yup. I hope they’re ready?” Aurelia asked.

“Indeed they are, and dare I say it, this one’s one of my best works yet. Let me bring it out for you,” Josiah said, before walking into the back chamber.

Pain erupted across Noah’s body, fire burning through every inch of him. Even with the crimson rot battle he had not felt something quite like this. His soul shuddered under the pressure, aching and cracking and Noah lost all awareness of where he was and what he did. The visage of a brilliant woman standing in golden light bathed him, as a pulse echoed in his soul. He felt like he would die, in fact, he wasn’t sure how he wasn’t already dead.

Noah looked at Nae in silence, trying to think over what to reply. Failing to come up with anything, he simply shrugged in response.

“Do you know what a divine perk is?” Nae asked.

“Not really,” Noah said, glancing down at the woman.

“It’s a perk that you did not naturally have, but were instead given by a god. All clerics, paladins and such have divine perks, because their perks and paths are directly given by the gods they follow. But somehow, here you are with...

[RotD] 42 — Get out of jail card

Noah sat within a dark damp chamber carved entirely of stone, with a single metal door frame as the only source of light within the chamber. With [Void Hunter’s Eyes] not working, the darkness was enough to keep him blind to everything around him.

Aurelia stirred near him, the only sound from her were her quiet breath, and the occasional rustle. Even so, Noah felt glad to have someone with him, or he would’ve gone mad stuck here all by himself. Using his elbow, struck the metal shac...

[RotD] 41 — Victory Spoils

A soothing sensation enveloped Noah, like he was floating within an endless ocean. His eyelids fluttered, opening to a white ceiling above him, as a gentle pale green glow bathed his body.

Trying to move his body, Noah realized that he was, in fact, floating in a pool of water. Pulling himself upright, he looked down, realizing he had been stripped of his clothes, with only his shorts left on him to preserve some of his dignity.

His gaze drifted to the spear in his hand, clutche...

[RotD] 40 — My Turn Now

Noah looked at the words, floating in front of him. Was this death? He had expected more non-existence from an event like this.

A voice rang through the dark.

It stirred the unending stillness of the void, like a ripple through existence.

Noah frowned, feeling his rest being disturbed. Just who was calling out to him?

The void continued, echoing in Noah’s mind. At last, unable to ignore it, Noah let the voice reach his mind.

“Master!”

[Rotd] 39 — Resting Grounds

Crimson mist enveloped the Valkyrie, forming a strange living armor around her body. Thorny bushes of mutated plants climbed her feet, while a crown of red roses adorned her head. She stood upon the battlefield like the very image of an angel of death, here to claim his life.

Cursing, Noah reached into his inventory and bit into a mana stone. Mana flooded him, revitalizing and coursing through every inch of his body as strength surged within him.

Noah's instincts screamed at him to move, and he teleported moments before the ground exploded as a spear embedded itself where he'd stood faster than he could see it coming. Panting, he looked up and saw the Valkyrie staring at him before she extended her hand, and the spear flew back into it. Noah noticed the ground decaying where the spear had struck, as oddly shaped red growths that littered the land began to rise from the ground.

Looking at the Valkyrie, Noah observed her armor abs...

[RotD] 36 — Abyssal Eye Tony

Sleeping. It was a thing that all living creatures did, a part of life and being alive.

Tony had not known this. Neither had he experienced it. To Tony, sleep had been the eternal darkness of the void, the stillness in which his existence would blend into non-existence, the difference between the two fleeting and entirely dependant on a stir within his surroundings.

Sleep was like that, and Tony hated it. How could anything ever ever spare a single moment not experiencing this won...

[RotD] 35 — Avera’s Palace

Noah stared at the goddess, lounging upon her throne with a silver goblet in her hand, containing some kind of golden liquid inside it. The woman’s face was the definition of perfect. But not the kind of symmetrical face Noah would expect. No, Avera looked a lot like a normal woman, one in her thirties who had gone out of her way to take the best care of herself, but her beauty rested in the draw she had. There was an aura of pull, of… divinity that captivated Noah.

In the village of Layfar, in a rather unassuming bush, a bunny was crouching. The bunny was by all means a rather regular animal. But this one in particularly was unsatisfied, and was searching for something.
