This is more of WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN kind of post. I thought fans of the books might be interested to know that info.
I discovered via an old casting grid that back when WB bought the rights to make The Selection film, that Leslye Headland (Russian Doll, The Acolyte) was attached to write and direct the film. And that Hailee Steinfeld was attached to star as America Singer.

The script for Marvel Studio's Fantastic Four is being rewritten yet again. New writers were brought on to do rewrites and the new script is expected to be completed within the next month or two.
