I wanted to have one more image for the Private Matches flyer, and since I already had heavyweights on the beach and lightweights in the ring I figured why not one of each in the cage? It gave me a chance to re-do the lights for the mma cage to match my newer style, and try out some new mma gloves as well.

Another Smoke Test, and Announcing the $10 Thong Tier!
Since there didn't seem to be a lot of interest in the tutorials included in the $10 donation tier(and I was starting to run out of Ideas), my next tutorial on animation will be the last one. Instead, starting in February, I'll be doing a five-page mini-fight every month exclusively for $10 patrons and higher. And, instead of my usual trunks, you'll get to see the fighters competing in thongs like the ones they're wearing above! You'll also get to vote on:

I've always been on the lookout for a way to give some of my scenes that smoke-filled, underground feel. So, I picked up a couple of smoke effects that just came out and thought I'd test them out.

Boxing on the beach?
Thought I'd try rendering something outdoors for once, after giving myself a crash course in creating sunlight. I'd thought about setting a whole fight in a location like this, but the amount of time it'd take to render rules that out for right now.

As I said in the announcement, I've selected the fighters ranked #1 through 4 for the tournament. This poll will decide the rank for fighters #5 through 12. The fighter with the most votes will be #5, second most will be #6, and so on. For the first round of fights, #5 will face #12, #6 will face 11, #7 will meet 10, and #8 will fight 9. So vote for your favorites! The poll will close Saturday night, and I'll post the matchups for the first round on Sunday.

Melly vs.Katsumi update!
So last week Windows updated and my PC slowed down to a crawl for rendering animation. I've finally fixed the settings that got changed and am now able to start work on it again. I've started to re-render the existing scenes I'd completed so far with the new ring and outfits, and I'll have more of a progress report next week!
