I’ve been a little busy with family stuff the past few days, but I’m all clear now to stream Closer work for my 6$ and up tiers, starting with finishing up page 39 tomorrow via stream. I estimate I’ll be able to start some time after lunch pacific time zone, and will be playing the Back to the Future trilogy on the stream while I work.

Closer: Page 39, 40, 41 (flats WIP)

Lots of work done tonight! Inked these all up and tossed in color flats. I'm really liking Andy's flirty undressing going up the stairs, you can even see his shorts unbuttoned in the panel where he's walking up. Should be relatively easy to finish these up in sequence over the next few days, so keep an eye out for the streams.

Gonna stream for about 3-4 hours and take a dinner break, then come back to it after for the rest of it. Will be playing all 3 Indiana Jones movies to pass the time for those tuning in. In case you're wondering, yes there were only 3 Indiana Jones films.

Here's today's progress! I've got 41 left to ink, then I can toss flats and start shading the pages. I'd like to have all 3 of these done before the week is out so I can start on Tanta pages.

After inking (most of) page 39 of Closer I decided to take a break and do a sketch of Anubis which was mentioned by one of the people in the stream chat. In my mind he's summoned a loyal subject to uh... join him in his royal chambers.

A quick update on this page's progress! The text bubbles are off in this, and I think one of the text bits is hidden for some reason, so don't be too confused about the skip in dialogue.

Stream Update

I was originally going to stream all day today, but I've been dealing with an out of town repair on my phone. Long story short, over the course of 5 hours they made 2 attempts with 2 separate techs to replace the part, and no such luck. They finally just asked for me to call support, who is having a replacement shipped. Between all of that driving and dealing with support over the phone, the day is basically shot.

Streamed for 12 hours today! Streaming tomorrow to keep work going, hopefully will be completely finished within one or two more sessions. I changed quite a lot compared to the original sketch, so be sure to have a close look.

Kickback (sketch WIP)

I think that'll do it for the sketches! I've made some important changes to the background which includes lighting tweaks, modeled details, and hints of lines that I think will go a long way to making the background integrate with the drawn characters.

I realize I don't have the additional subjects added in yet, but I wanted to drop a quick update on the work I've been doing with the background. I'm really loving how the lighting and detail is shaping up.

Here's what I've got so far for the sketch!

Keep in mind I have a few more characters to add into the scene, so don't fret if there are a couple that aren't in there! I've probably redone this composition at least 4 or 5 times now trying to make it all work as a narrative, and with my rusty anatomy it seems I needed a bit of brushing up. I'd originally made a list of teachers that will attend the party and planned to sketch busts for each to be voted on, but I think it'd be better to just choose the ones that fit best for the situations and framing of the image myself.
