Nox & Rosie (sketch)

Here's a pic I' started for my patron no_9, which has been a long time coming. It's of his bull character paying his favorite neighbor a visit, despite it being a little risky for the two of them. She likes when he brings over the kinky gear.

This background is just a placeholder to establish perspective, It'll all be replaced with hand drawn goodness, and be in a sort of "faux animated" line and color style.

Hi patrons, here's an update on the next page of the comic! This underwent slight deviations from the script, but to me it reads and flows a lot better. I'll be doing another two page at once workflow, so expect the next sketch page in a few days before I get this colored up.

Nick and Manchas (WIP Sketch)

Here's a little update on the background drawing for the Finish-A-Sketch that was chosen for this month. I put some work into a 3D model of the car but quickly found out there's no good way to match the perspective of the sketch at all with a physical model.

I decided to just start over with it and draw it by hand and get as close to on model of the car in the movie as possible. It'll serve as a useful base going forward on this pic, so hopefully it'll be worth the effort. Enjoy!

Prague

So I have some good news and some bad news!

While working on page 3 of Closer, I got distracted (that's the bad news, I'm about 80% done with the page) by this really pretty all black pitbull on twitter that goes by the name of Prague, and I decided to make an anthro version of him (the good news). Looks like he's showing off those healthy male bits out in some kinda snowy area.

I really like how this came out, and I hope you do too! Enjoy!

Complete! We finally get to see Jay's boss Lucas Lightfoot, a tall, handsome ram who doesn't seem to mind having some sleazy friends. This is a flashback from a few months prior (as stated in the first panel) where we get to see how jay got mixed up in all this seemingly unprofessional shenanigans.

I can't thank you all enough for the continued support and patience while working on these pages and getting my bearings on the workflow. Keep a look out for page 3, I've been working on that...

Closer: Page 02 (flats WIP)

Here's the flats for page 2!

I'll be working on 2 and 3 over the next few days and streaming what I can, so keep an eye out for them (as well as the Nick+Manchas illustration and some other goodies). I'm pretty happy with the color choices for Roger and Lucas, with Roger wearing a Miami Vice inspired 80s suit appropriate to the period.

For those confused, I'm doing pages 2 and 3 simultaneously in order to get caught up on my usual schedule. And yes, these two pages are a flashback into how Jayden took on his role as as stereotypical office fox. This hyena lays the sleaze on pretty thick, but what better guy to show jay how easy brokering can be?

Thanks for the support so far, and the patience while I work out the process for this! We see jay's boss for the first time here in a flashback, a big, handsome ram, of course. There's a crush brewing behind the scenes that will play an overarching role in the plot.

Yana's Visitors

A fun little piece for my sponsor Nhala, featuring the boston terrier Yana, which you may have seen in some of my older works. She's got some pretty big guys visiting! The mastiff is letting her know that this dane is breaking her in for him, at which point she'll have some considerable difficulty.

I got to reuse one of my old 3d sets, and a bit of paintover made it match the characters pretty well I'd say.

Back from FC!

Hey everyone, I made it back from Further Confusion! Some friends and I did the 6-7 hour drive rather than fly, which seems more convenient in a lot of ways, like when you need to use the car to do an impromptu San Fran visit in the middle of the weekend. Overall I'd say it was a fun con, met some old friends and a few new ones, and avoided any disasters like con crud or road blockages.

Now that I'm back, work can resume on the Closer comic, and other art obligations. Keep an eye out for new s...
