A falling guard would have consumed a lot of mana from his shield, especially compared to the arrows they were firing considering the difference in weight alone. Their bodies completely flattened themselves when they smacked the ground, their armor denting itself and creating a loud racket. None of the guards he saw falling survived.

He hopped off of Nova still in the mines, a kilometer or so away from the edge of the undercity. Nova remained in their larger form and followed Felix while Amani hopped off and took up the rear.
