I was a little concerned about the backgrounds of this one before starting it, but I think the less you worry about making the buildings perfect the better they tend to come out.

I'm free from KNIGHT OF ALANOC actively being in my schedule, so now SPHINX gets my full comic-making attention! This is the actual page 1 with Kaz's story, where Asher's story is now starting on page 16. The overall narrative now has a 'weirdness escalation' when it comes to their tales about the Sect of Strato, and I can't wait to show you Cirocco's story in particular. It's certainly something lol.

I love Ruby, she's one of my oldest original characters! I made her before Osric and Xerxes actually (!) When did SoulCalibur 3 and 4 come out... I remember playing as her with the custom character mode so I must have made her around 2006 / 2008 :)
She used to use a whip and was sort of a cool beast tamer with a 'nightmare circus' aesthetic... She might return to some of that in Skyset Knights, if I want to design an alternate look (I'm toying around with the idea of the characters with...

This scene is here because, much like trauma in real life, you often get sucker punched with 'incidents' on the road to recovery. Don't worry, there is a nice ending to the book after this :)
