Monster name: Magmaheart
Classification: Djinni, legendary
Notes: A wyvern with a molten heart and fire in it's eyes. Fiercely protective over his partner. Enjoys frequent baths to keep from erupting in fire, and loves sleeping on a bed of fiery coal. Excretes diamonds, and cums what appears to be lava yet it is just pleasantly warm to the touch.

I don't usually post the 'in-between' inked stage but I thought this one was interesting. Sometimes I use the ink to lay out what I want to do with the background so I can remind myself what it was supposed to be lol

It's a memory, of which there's quite a few in Ace of Beasts Volume 1, because I didn't want to set the story when they each met but wanted to show how they all fell in love anyway.

Xerxes remembers this mug cake was his favorite to cook for himself as a kid. After remembering being Highly Discouraged from cooking in the Sect by both the other kids his age and the priests of Strato (the tenets being echoed in his head), Xerxes filters it down to ask Osric 'were you ever bullied as a kid?' Osric remembers a much less severe incident of Xander (his twin brother) bonking him with a toy sword and is like 'lol yeah'
