Lot of Ramzi x everybody this chapter! He furthers Osric's and Basil's character development through spending time with them so I'm glad. This book is prominently about O and B, and next one I've planned to be about Ramzi and Xerxes. There's some retconning to be done about Ramzi's past, since his origin story is now non-canon. It will still align with what was said in Ace of Beasts #1 for consistency.
Page count has been upped to 90 for this book, for romance and character development.

so long story short lol I may have written Basil into a more important / romantic role in Ace of Beasts #2. he is not related to anybody so no worries (if I said something in the past about it, it is not canon lol I was still figuring him out :P)
rewriting the story was hard and took a lot of time but it's much better now! A little over a third of this book is sex, but the rest is delicious romance + plot/character development, so look forward to cute bara funtimes lol

Sick and working lately. Doing Men, Monsters and Robots! zine on Monday, because I want to put the next page of M+M Vol.2 in there.
I've also been working on something for everyone! The newest pages and ALL pin-ups will be on Patreon first, but this one is to collect all the free stuff I already have out there - it will be revealed soon! It is a timed thing, which is why the comic and zine got pushed aside a bit.

I was toying with colors before I went with the blue and gold haha. The coloring is much messier, due to it being the prototype.
Probably will use this color scheme for another cover. Looks more suited to Ashen Sun.

A colorful romantic cover for a colorful romantic story <3 Mostly blue because it is a bit wistful and serious. Again, this is somewhat based on a personal series of events.
I left some of the sketch in on purpose, like in Men+Monsters.
The interior is going to look like Ace of Beasts though, so overall cleaner inks there - this was purely for style ;>

From a distance, Osric can pass for a non-human - but the glowing heart is a stark giveaway that he is not human, nor animal person...
Knight of Alanoc - Xerxes & Osric design sketch
When Xerxes joins the Knights of Alanoc, he is given a (undeserved in Osric's eyes, but practical in Lex's view) high-ranking position and the uniform to go with it. I'm kind of veering toward him not wearing it so much, but I've got until January to think about it so, lol. (I expect to be done with this story in February or March 2017, if things go well.)
Osric is fit but not very muscular in comparison to Xerxes. He wears a dark expression, and we learn that he's not good with people, haha.<...
