Behind the scenes - Osric wyvern design

I figured since a beast like him would never exist anyway, why not go all out? Osric's tail tip is pretty much a traditional fire poker design, and his 'feathers' bear resemblance to jagged pieces of obsidian rock (obsidian being what you get when lava cools super fast). The veins of magma on his chest are a silly euphemism on real arteries, but in actuality it is just his molten insides in general. I chose green as the main color for robot town, like a motherboard, and white for the 'overly sanitized' theme. The themes of this chapter revolve around nature, choice and lifestyle choice.

Green as you know is my least favorite color (it looks like beige in my mind for some reason) + least favorite to work with, so I had a lot to learn from this chapter...

Final version tomorrow, adjusting colors. You can see the colors very faintly - the hot fire-toned sand and  royal turquoise, to contrast the red, blue, and gold of our boys' outfits and the dark stripes of the serpopard ;>

Each story is designed to be it's own adventure, so this one is enhanced by knowing the first book but it may not be totally necessary to have read to understand the plot.

Look at those gooftacular expressions lol. Might touch those up for the final.
