Hotfix: 2 bugs were fixed.

All the links have been replaced with the fixed version.

Problems fixed:

- On Day 4 sunset, after giving the map to Arabelle, it was impossible to go talk to Charlotte despite having the quest.

- About the hat: Molly and the Riverlady could still give you the quest despite you finishing the quest.

Changelog [R8]


Changelog:

- Continuation of the story.

- 2 new H-scenes (Hale with two slightly different scenes depending on your choices, and Arabelle).

- Added virgin/purity path (minor scenes specific to it).

- Reworked the saloon dinner scene at the end of R7 to include more lore regarding the island.

- Better optimization and added launcher (from R7.5). Make sure to choose the right level of preloading for your device to avoid issues.

- Various polishes and bug fixes.

- Translation in Spanish and Russian is updated and complete for this version.

A bit sad we couldn't include in time the cliffhanger that we had originally planned for this release, in any case, it has been moved to be the start of R9 instead and should deliver provide a strong start for the next update. I hope you like this update, ended up a bit shorter than I hoped for but it has also some of the most advanced art we ever did and some cool secrets.

News regarding Shadow Island R8

Hey everyone, 

Wanted to reassure you, regarding Divimera R8, it is almost ready and will be released this month. Matter of days before the update is released.

Though, with the problems explained in earlier news that we faced with this version, it becomes apparent that if we were to include everything planned for it, we would have to wait past January. 

But it's been too long, and that's why I decided to cut some of the final content and have them be the start of R9 instead. I just think it's a sane decision, and preserve the stress level of the team. Overall I don't think it should change things too much, all the lewd plans will be there, and the section that was cut is kind of short but unreasonably full to the brim of art. It's kind of ambitious. I'm hopeful that this doesn't occur often after R8, and R9 is less demanding on the art than this update so it should be more balanced and allow the art to catch up.

In any case, I hope you enjoy it.

News about Shadow Island

Hey everyone,

We are aiming for the release of R8 in January, we are a bit behind schedule, I apologize for letting you down. The BG artist had also some health problems relative to his family but things are getting back to normal now. In any case, we made some good progress and we took the opportunity to fix/improve some previous parts as well:

- The purity route is now fully incorporated into the game, and we added some new exclusive scenes in the previous parts of the game that trigger if you are on it (Lily handjob scene is now fully avoidable in that regard).

- The saloon scene on which R7 ends has been extended, I recommend replaying it when R8 is out if you are interested in learning about the lore as this scene now provides additional pieces of information about the islanders and the mystery surrounding the island.

Most of R8 is almost fully written and coded by now, however, we still have quite a few scenes and adjustments to make when the remaining of art is incorporated. But we are getting close.

Relative to the latest poll, the first option ended up taking a significant lead, we designed the new hale scene to follow the results, I hope you like the results, which you can see the WIP in the following post if you are not afraid of spoilers.

Progress report on Shadow Island R8

Hey everyone,

Been a long time without a progress report, sorry about that really, development has been going steadily and without interruption outside of problems of availability regarding the background art which I'm trying to sort (nothing that should impact scheduling too much, it is somewhat manageable so far). Mostly I tend to go quiet when I'm focusing on something and sometimes it's hard to show the results until everything comes together.

In any case, I want to reassure you that we are actually quite advanced into R8, the script is about 65% done, in terms of art we are a bit late because of the above but I'm hoping we can still make it close to our average schedule. Basically still aiming at late December, but with the holidays, it might shift to early January, we will see how it goes. Personally, I would like very much to be able to get things more quickly out, but it doesn't depend on me alone.

Now that we are more advanced, here is what you can look forward to in terms of sexy content regarding R8:

- a kissing scene + a blowjob scene for Arabelle.

- a 69 scene for Hale which would have two versions (mostly the same art with some subtle changes), depending on if you have been behaving submissively or normally with her. This would be kind of a special attribute of her route since there is a strong demand for submissive content and this character has enough flexibility to offer both in a natural way. So basically two angles of attack, and two different endings.

And for the rest, you may already know but a new part of the island to explore with a lot of important revelations will be the center of this update. Basically, we will try to alternate between outside and inside from now on, and this update is more focused on the outside with a new character being revealed at the end of it.

Release of 7.5 + News about R8


I have uploaded a new version named 7.5, replacing all the previous links of R7. This version is focused on optimizing the game furthermore and fixing problems in the script that were discovered while working on R8 with rpickman.


The changelog is as follows:

- Added a launcher at the start of the game that replaces the previous performance selection (introduced in 7.2) and the previous choose your language menu under a more polished/synthetic form.

- Removed the loading screen that happened when changing the size of the screen, as a better solution was found to keep the cache in memory without needing to start a new preloading after a change of resolution.

- Lot of small optimization bits where it was possible.

- Enhanced audio processing (no more stuttering at the end of certain sounds).

- Some events that were attributed to the previous day (day 3) could end up playing during day 4 under certain conditions. This is fixed.

- Molly said some lines that didn't make sense in some playthroughs, these were rewritten/tweaked to fit better the playthrough context you were in.

- Fixed some minor typos that were present in R7.


Regarding R8, we have made some decent progress in the script and we pretty much know everything that should happen within it at this point, and we have the first couple of events written. I think it's gonna be one of the longest updates in terms of story development, we are about 30% there in terms of progress. 

There is still a lot of work ahead, this is probably gonna be the meatiest update we ever planned and contains the most interesting bits so far hopefully. I think if I were to make an official demo of the game, I would stop it at the end of R8.

On the art side, we have a new portion of the island to design and create, which is gonna be very intriguing to visit. We have made a wip layout of the map for it that can be seen in the spoilers post following that one. And one of the new H-scene is being worked on that is showcased in the following post too if you are not afraid of spoilers.

Tomorrow I'm moving to a new apartment, and from there I should be able to resume work the next day, everything is in order and I'm happy to leave the turmoil of finding a new place behind me.

That's everything I can say, for now, I will be working to deliver R8 as soon as possible, I have a good feeling about it, and hopefully, it's gonna turn exciting to play(!).

News about R8 and others

Hey folks,

I hope everyone doing well, and a big thanks for the growing support this month, we are approaching 500 patrons for the first time in history, which means a lot to me and signify that we are in the right direction. 

To be honest, we are still pretty unknown to most h-games players and far from mainstream but I hope that with time we can get more recognition. And as long as we are growing with every release, it gives me some hope that one day we can be competing in popularity with some of the big h-games out there.

On another topic, a short reminder that the Tyrant Quest steam page is live at this address or by typing Tyrant Quest on the steam search, and that wishlist even if you are not intending in buying, helps tremendously with the Steam algorithm. Currently, we are sitting at only ~50 wishlists, it's very low, but we can do much better hopefully. A big thanks to anyone that makes the move.

Regarding R8, the work has restarted, I'm aiming for December for the release, we made some plans for it, here is the essentials info:

- R8 will cover the night segment of Day 3 + Morning of Day 4, with a new segment of exploration of the island, packing some impactful events and the reveal of a new character.

- 2 new h-scenes: one with Lady Hale and one with Arabelle.

- New map for the island, which will behave like the village one but for outside the wall, with a fog of war, allowing us to work progressively on it.

Some details can still change, but this should be fairly accurate overall.


I'm also moving out to a new apartment at the end of this month, so this should be good for my productivity and I should hopefully start the work on a steam version for Divimera soon.

Some optimizations were made.

Had some reports of bad performance and crashes, and made some adjustments, most notably there will be a performance option at the start from now on until I can do something a bit better. 

Replaced all the links with a new version named R7.2 which brings:

- Menu at the start to choose between 3 different options for performance (this should fix the infinite loading and crashes, once you find the option that works for you.)

- Reverted to an old renderer (what draws the images on the screen) that is depreciated by Ren'py which I was using up until R5. Ren'py most recent SDK introduced a newer one but the new one seemed to cause some performance drops.

- Added a new cheat code to instant win the gambling game (which is available here).

Bugfix out.

R7 had a major bug that prevented triggering new Molly's scene in certain playthroughs, I'm replacing all the links with a patched version => R7.1

I recommend deleting R7 if you have it and going straight to R7.1 as this can be a major problem.

Additional fixes:

- Xray cheat was patched to work again (had a missing image).

/!\ Important regarding your saves /!\

The folder for Divimera's saves has changed, it was named Test6 and it's now named Divimera as you would expect. I decided to do it now because eventually I have to fix this error, and the sooner I do it the better...
To continue from your previous saves you must copy the entirety of what's inside the Test6 folder over to the new Divimera folder. (If the folder doesn't exist yet, you must launch R7 once for it to create that new Divimera saves folder).


  • On PC, you can find the save game folders at this path:

C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\RenPy


  • For Mac, at this path:

~/Library/RenPy


  • For Linux, at this path:

News - Tyrant Quest steam page & Shadow Island R7

Hey everyone, 

I wanted to point out that Tyrant Quest has a Steam store page, this version will include an in-game guide, some remastered scenes, reworked menus and some typo corrections. It will release somewhere between October and November, you can check it out here!
I'd appreciate it very much if you could wishlist the game, even if you don't plan on buying it, that helps out tremendously with Steam's algorithm.

I also want to apologize in advance because I'm likely to mention the wishlist repetitively over the next few posts to reach the maximum of persons. Sorry for that but we will get through it pretty quickly.

Regarding Divimera R7, we are making steady progress every day and this version is gonna be an important milestone, you will get a pretty good picture of what to expect in the future and what direction we are going with Divimera in terms of mechanics, and from there we will slowly but surely make the game aspect more predominant over time. 

This update is filled with items interactions, from gambling to deciding to give a gift to Molly or the townswoman (but not both) and some pretty solid NSFW scenes too. You will also notice the ability to pick screen resolutions, the ability to change the size of the mouse cursor and some further enhancements to the improvements made in R6.5 but the good thing is that I'm reaching the end of what I wanted to introduce in terms of functionalities, after this version, things will mostly remain the same and the full focus on my side will be on the content.

I'm expecting it to release around the 20th of September but it could vary, I'll make sure it will be ready for the month of September though.

In other news, maybe not as interesting, but I have set my eyes on an apartment and after visiting it, I'm in discussion with the real-estate agency to lock it for me, still missing some papers but it's looking good, and if it works out, I should be able to move out in October.

Our main character gets a job at a local bookstore. Pouring into the trust of the guards of the veil, he tries in every possible way to weaken their cohesion.

Who will be the heir to the throne? What choice will the main character make at one time or another? Will he be able to seduce every girl in the game?

The game has a variable plot, a lot of mini-games, quite a lot of NSFW (some of which are animated) and story scenes, as well as more than 45 characters.

Shadow Island R7 - Progress Update [08 August, 2022]

Hello everyone,

Here's what's going on right now for Divimera R7:

- The minigame is 95% done, all that's left is some polishing and adding audio. This thing took way too many hours to get done and I'm glad it's almost behind me.

- Charlotte's new H-scene is finished, but there are still a few illustrations missing to get to it (you can see some spoilers about that in the preview post if you want).

- The new mystery character leading the mini-game and the visual for this new location is finished (featured in the preview post).

- The script for the R7 story is 85% complete, all that's missing is the items' descriptions from the gambling game, the doctor's quest, an event with Lady Hale in the saloon and some finishing touches.

- The character artist is working on a large scene involving women of the night which you can see the concept in the preview post.


I'm also looking for an apartment in order to be closer to a big city where relatives are, I've been looking to move for a while and all the lights are green for me right now. Everything should be back to normal in about a month and a half, but I'm going to keep working all month in any case, just with interruptions sometimes.

I don't think I'll be able to finish the R7 in time for August. Between doing the preparation for the move and having the art completely ready for R7 which I suspect would be in early September, it's going to be complicated.

However if a majority want to have the R7 released for August, it is also possible to make it shorter than what I planned by cutting some content and keeping them for R8 in order to deliver R7 for August. I personally prefer to avoid that since making a build, testing it and adding new translation takes time, so having fewer numbers of itineration released is more optimal. But overall it's not a problem, and if that's something you would prefer then that will work with me just fine.

I have launched a poll following this post for the patrons to know what is your preference.
