Development progress: internal components

Even in the short time since the release of GHPC 20200630, development has been proceeding at a strong pace.  Here's an AAR + free cam image from today's internal testing, showing an APFSDS impact on a T-55A hull.  The layout of internal systems and external armor on the T-55A is complete.  The various internal components interact with shots and are visible when the X-ray mode is enabled.

Update 20200630 is now live for Patrons!

Notes

This was a massive effort from the dev team to bring you reworked ballistics and unlock AAR mode in preparation for the planned major update with full vehicle targets.  To bridge the gap, enjoy shooting new tank wreck targets and reviewing your work in AAR mode.

GHPC featured in Rock, Paper, Shotgun's "The Flare Path"

In the June 19 2020 edition of Tim Stone's simulator roundup "The Flare Path" on Rock, Paper, Shotgun, GHPC is featured briefly under the letter K, for Kalashnikovs.  The summary points out several takeaways from the recent June livestream, as well as a quip at kavi's cosplay in the background.

AAR testing in Patreon build

With the ability to shoot vehicle targets slated for release in July, we've been working on getting the AAR shot trace feature working in the new build.  Here are a few screenshots from internal testing, showing some HEAT and APFSDS impacts on various parts of the T-55A turret.

T-72A autoloader sound

For those who haven't seen it (or heard it) yet, this is the T-72A's TPD-K1 gun sight and AZ autoloader in action in the latest Patreon build!  Also visible is the ready-to-fire lamp at the top, which now functions.
