The goodies being Page 107~

Thanks for your lovely support everyone! Here's some behind-the-scenes sketches and comments for the latest Horrortale page. 

1. The original draft had Sans' entire face showing.
2. Oddly enough, this was the panel the entire page would be based on. I kept thinking about it as I drew previous pages. But when the moment came, it just didn't fit. Sans seemed too empathetic here, and I preferred leaving their relationship ambiguous.

Thank you all lovely Pie patrons :D 

1. The rough vs the final. Papyrus in the draft has the most intense frown I've ever drawn on him.
2. Slightly altered dialogue while Papyrus is warning Aliza about her choice.
3. A bit of unused dialogue while Sans calls out Papyrus, but I preferred the re-write. 

It's not often, but sometimes a page comes along that pretty matches the rough draft I drew, so there are no unused panels here.

The extra tidbits to go with HT page 105, which is attached

1. An unused panel of Sans correcting Papyrus. I don't like drawing him with the same head angle twice on a page (makes inconsistencies that much more obvious), so I scrapped that panel and kept the "rule's change" look.  
2. I actually prefer this sequence over the final, but the text blocks made placement too awkward, so I merged it all in one panel instead.
3. Unused dialogue, which I wish I had room to keep.

Thank you to all lovely Pie patrons and your support! I've switched up the format of the extra content; I hope you like it :)

1. Different dialogue and camera angles here. Aliza was going to "ask" about the 5th puzzle at first, and the page was going to have a lot more Flowey.
2. Rather than having Sans look menacingly at Aliza, he was going to scare her with a "warning attack" and make her jump like this. But it felt too violent.
3. Lots of different panels that weren't used. <...

Page 103 came pretty easily so there's just a few pieces to share with you lovely Pie patrons:

1. I threw this sketch together when drafting Sans getting upset,. The dialogue never fit what the pose was kept.
2. When Sans blocks Papyrus from explaining the situation the shot was much closer to the back of his skull, and there was a panel of Mayor Bear acting clueless.

Here's the secret sketches for page 102! 

Commentary:

1. The draft gave less focus on Sans and more on Papyrus with Drink Bunny, seeing as the two of them built this charade that Aliza finds herself in. But it felt more important to keep Sans on the frame, so she was scrapped to make room.
2. A couple of panels had the same drawings but very different dialogue. Dialogue is usually changed around based on what the panel can fit.
