3/4 Emotes and expressions art and poses

This week we worked on getting a wide range of emotes and expressions for our 3/4 models. Next week they will be sliced, brought in Spine andanimated. Dialogue capabilities are getting extended, and the c*m testing (not tasting) (or maybe that too for some characters) goes on. Along these lines combat also is getting an initial set up in Unity.

"Let me give you a hand"

As the animations are being wrapped for two of the main Vanlen scenes, new additions to the skeletons were drawn to enhance them like custom hands and other anatomical parts. Nemiri’s basic body has also new views so that adds another character back to the cast.

Sniffing some girls?

Another week, more progress. Eri is getting new views, the levels are being refined. Nemiri and Nesi have been added to the rigs with their assets, and two praise scenes stages with Vanlen are now animated. Levels have marked exists and the new ones got walking boundaries. The pace is picking up again.

Spring cleaning!

As the effort on backgrounds continues, a great part of the village is in game now. You’ll soon be able to finally find and talk to the chieftain as the dialogues that involve him are completed and ready for implementation in Unity. Baby, light my fire!

Several backgrounds are now in Unity with day and night variants, and Kuja has worked on some spectacular* 2D fire to use on the torches. (*this is Pikant, I think the fire is amazing!!).

Meanwhile, the tanning minigame is improving, and more of the dialogues are getting completed. We’ve also had multiple music pieces done for our OST.

Unity backgrounds, and onboarding animators

Heigh charts, backgrounds, 3D printed ships

This week has been dedicated to clear some confusion regarding the races height, and docs updating. New background elements are going to populate the village soon, and several bugfixes have been made code-wise. One of our animator’s pc also died over the weekend, so the animations may suffer a bit until it can be replaced (hopefully by the end of next week).

Decorating tents, music, and bug fixes

Build 1.0.0

Today Version 1.0.0 is being released. After all the delays we’re finally at a place where we’re able to release the content we’ve been working on. Although this is a small piece of the story, it’s a bigger idea of what the game overall will have in store. It is the start of the month, and we missed the time frame we said it would be likely we’d release. Based on how the week went, it is more likely that this upcoming weekend could be the date the release may be wrapped up, that is, if no more surprise problems come ruin our plans again.
