Black Permanent ink - we did it!

Yes, we did it! We made a session with the black permanent ink! And yes, it was VERY difficult to wash off! In fact the model had to walk around painted even after an intense attempt to wash it off :-) see a first glimpse of the session after I painted him like a tattooed full body suit. Imagine you'd go into an art gallery and there would be Mario like this. How would you like that?

Shall we do it?

I have to admit: I was in doubt. Shall we do it? Shall we show a naked pope that gets covered in paint? Isn't it blasphemy? But this project is about showing the world. And religion does play a big part in this world...

LM02G Mario shows his painted ass!

Marios body is now fully painted in canvas style and only on some parts you can still see the black spray paint. In order to let the paint shine more, I take pictures of Mario infront of a black screen. At the end he shows us his painted ass!

Time for more paint: red is running over the face...

Mario still closed his eyes and therefore couldn't see that he was turned into a colorful art object!

I am lucky I was able to find this model. He embodies "The Pope" as much as I wanted. He is an organ player from Denmark.

Permanent Ink Session — how far shall we go?

We will be doing a very special Permanent Ink session on 24th of June and would like to hear your opinion: Which parts of my model shall we cover with the Chinese cleopatre ink? The cross of my grandfather.

I also wanted to use a special cross for the session. When my grandfather passed away, my grandmother gave me some of his clothes. I later found this cross in one of his suits. I decided to use it for this session to remember him too.

LM02F Closing unpainted gaps: time for more blue and yellow paint

I start to close more unpainted gaps with yellow and blue paint. It's very messy now and the model likes it.

Marios shaved head looked incredible with all the paint!

Looking down the models legs: the paint becomes a mess on the floor.

It's nice to see Mario getting soaked into the paint more and more...

The clothes were borrowed from a bishop and we had to promise to keep them clean.

Now I add more yellow to the models chest...

The session is meant to be as authentic as possible.

That's why I wanted the model to wear authentic clothes and also behave in an authentic way. I am lucky I found this model and was able to convince him to be "The Pope".
