Hopping Celestial Fox, Ch49 - Character death

As I spun through the air, sheer panic finally overtook me. I had been stoic the entire chase but now, I just knew I was going to die. There was no way I would survive this fall.

But even then, I tried my best to prevent it. I flailed my arms, trying to find any purchase, but failed completely.

Then a sharp rock suddenly appeared in my vision and I blacked out for a split second.

I didn’t even feel the pain. One moment, I was panicking as I fell, then there was a ...

Hopping Celestial Fox, Ch48 - Chase scene

The castle was so close. So damn close!

But not close enough.

The giant acid spider had managed to catch up with us and I was too exhausted to steadily keep us away from it. In hindsight, I should have headed back into the forest rather than keeping to the rocky path leading from the cliffside. It might have been the longer path, but it would at least make it harder for the spider to follow us.

The only saving grace was that the spider was apparently so intimidating...

Hopping Celestial Fox, Ch47 - Character development

My breathing finally began to get labored as I ran. It took quite a bit, but I suppose even this form had its limits.

That was just more bad news on top of everything else.

The giant spider had chased us through the never-ending forest for what felt like hours, completely unrelenting, and this time, not even Wi using the ring could knock it back long enough for us to get away or fight it off. We had come across several other boars and other monsters as I ran, but even those View Post

Hopping Celestial Fox, Ch46 - Fight scene

Three monsters on all sides, a traumatized girl to protect, and a bleeding hand.

I should be panicking, hyperventilating. But somehow, just like with the skeletons back in RLO, despite my heart beating wildly, my mind was clear enough to come up with a plan.

When we had come to Casey’s place, I had dropped off my backpack that contained the magical items we had wanted to test in this world, but that didn’t mean I didn’t have any magical items on me.

Of course,...

“U-um…” Casey and I exchanged a panicky glance.

What should we do? We hadn’t wanted to reveal ourselves to her. Much less the fact that we already knew pretty much everything about her.

“Please, don’t worry. We don’t mean any harm,” Elyssa replied for us.

“Yeah! It’s alright! We’re ...

Azure Dune, Epilogue - RAINBOW

“And here we are,” I announced, gesturing with my arm at the white marble temple in front of us. Just looking at it sparked countless old memories in me. The place where I’d gone from an interdimensional visitor to a true hero.

“Whoaaaa!” Bianca gasped in awe.

“That’s so cool, gran! Can we also train here to gain cool snow magic like you?!” Harry added.

I chuckled.

“Well, who knows? Maybe you can.” I put on a stern expression. “But it’s not gonn...

Azure Dune, Chapter 9 - AZURE

After hours of pushing through the corruption, we had already been tired. But one more hour of an intense battle, trying to fend off all of Xethra’s attacks, and we were just about to collapse. The only ones still keeping up were me and Xeron.

Me mainly because I couldn’t do a whole lot with the small amount of snow I had access to. Granted, I could drag the snow off the mountain and through the same opening we had entered through – which I was already doing – but it was slow an...

Azure Dune, Chapter 8 - BLACK

After a full day of trudging through the corrupted terrain, deflecting attacks left and right, we finally made it to the opening inside the mountain. It wouldn’t take long before we reached her core and then…

“So, how exactly are you planning on talking to her anyway?” Ellen asked.

Xeron frowned.

“Mmm, I’m not exactly sure if it will work, but I wanted to share some of my memories with her. Let her see who I am and what Azure let me experience all in one go.” View Post

The mountain loomed before us, daring us to come closer.

“So how are we doing this? Same as last time?” Ellen asked, sneaking a peak at Xeron.

“I would like to speak to her first,” Xeron said with a frown. “I am sure she is just like I used to be. Lashing out in confusion and misplaced anger.”

Trevor and Devon didn’t seem to like the idea by the way they grimaced.

“How would we even do that though? Do we need to get to the core?”

Xeron nodded. ...

“I wasn’t a little brat. I just didn’t know better at the time. Watching through Azure gave me perspective.”

“Uh huh. In other words, you were just a little brat back then, but now you grew up all thanks to mommy Azure.”

“Mmm, and I have a hard time believing you are the same easily embarrassed shy boy who managed to rally everyone into fighting me into a standstill and then sealing me away.”

I chuckled.

It had been a couple of weeks since I regained my aspect of snow. In that time I’d re-read my entire diary from back then at least a dozen times. I hadn’t felt this excited and full of energy since my teenage years.

After all, I still remembered. Back when I had first returned to Earth, I’d written down everything I’d remembered into the diary and then had spent months trying to figure out how to go back, how to regain my powers over the snow, or at least, how to contact my frie...

We advanced slowly and quietly despite the place seeming abandoned.

Firstly, we tried checking the various rooms connected to the castle’s hallway. To our surprise, none of them were locked.

The first room we checked had several bunk beds. Sheets and pillows messily littered the place. Dust and mold covered everything and the residual stench made me nauseous.

Pretty Flame gently floated down onto the building, spying the other person sitting at the edge of it. She transformed back into Erika and sneaked around, trying not to make any sound.
