Secret House Update

Hello friends! We got good news a few days ago that we have "conditional approval" on our appraisal for the VT home we're buying! WOO! Basically, you get a home appraised so the bank who is helping you finance your mortgage can evaluate what the home is "worth." Ideally, you want your home to appraise for more than what your paying for it & ours did, but we have some safety issues to clear before we can move in. There used to be a deck on the house, but it rotted & fell away, so there are 2 sliding doors to no where lol. The appraiser was basically like "You'll need to permanently secure those before move in, but the home value is staying the same." So our realtor & the listing agent on the home are gonna come up with a fix on that for us. We also are in the midst of getting homeowners insurance... Any of y'all have any tips or advice? We decided to look for more local companies to work with so we can still have that "old school" relationship where you have an agent who represents you that knows you/the property. That was my dad's suggestion because he enjoys having a personal connection with someone vs. just doing everything online. We're still comparing quotes with local companies, but need to lock one down this week & then we'll have all our ducks in a row to be able to CLOSE! Our estimated closing date is the end of the month & then I can show you all of the things! EEEEEEK!

Updates after a lil week off

Hi friends! Last week I took an intentional week off of posting on here just because there was too many things happening at once & my brain needed to turn something off. I have reasons why & things to share though! I have been physically hurting in a couple different places which has been really frustrating for me because it means I need to rest & when I take time off of the gym I get sad. 2 weeks ago, my knee was hurting so bad & I was kind of talking about it in my last vlog. I was only doing at home workouts in that video other than taking an afro dance class with my zumba pals & thought as long as I didn't do 6 days of workouts I would be okay... 

BUT THEN the following Monday I was planning to return to the gym & I hurt my lower back! I was like "Oh god! Great timing!" LOL. It was definitely a worse injury pain-wise than my knee though, so I just took all last week off of the gym too & rested a ton. Now, it's a week after I hurt myself & I feel great, but I also don't want to push it & immediately jump back into my workout routine. ANYWAY! This is all to say that I have just been doing lots of laying, accomplishing small tasks & to-do's, but also itching to get back into life as usual. 

I feel like I'm finally getting back to it today, but also am dealing with some ~emotional turmoil~ which I wrote about on my IG story earlier. I've just been doing lots of journaling, walking, reading, & cuddling the dogs. I feel like doing grounding practices or things I can always "fall back on" that bring me joy is such a great way to readjust after life's unexpected lows. So, this is my share today. I just tidied up my space which made me feel happy & I think I'm gonna go do some baking because the garden is PUMPING out zucchini right now. ZUCCHINI BREAD HERE I COME! Back to it

Hello my patreon peeps & happy Monday! A lot of my shares on here recently have been secret house updates which are still exactly where they were last time I wrote about them 😂 So this week I’m just getting back to my regular routines. I didn’t vlog last week honestly because I have been feeling like… If I’m only really telling my patrons what’s up with the house at the moment then what do I tell YouTube for now? I want it to be a big announcement when we actually close on the house, so that’s why I’m just keeping the in-depth updates with you for now. I feel bored of my “post-travel” vlogs getting back into my routines, so I didn’t make one of those last week when we were readjusting to life after being in VT. Inspiration comes in waves baby! I guess I’ve just gotten over my predictable vlog style lately & am open to any content suggestions you have as always 💛 I think this week I may vlog “doing what I’ve been putting off for months” & show everything I say I’ll do “later” like car stuff, recipes I’ve wanted to make for months, social plans, etc. Thoughts?

House Update

Hello patreon pals! I wanted to give you guys a secret update on the house we're trying to buy in VT :) We lowered our offer price after the home inspection because there will be some big budget fixes that we need to do when we move in (which we're excited about). The seller ended up agreeing to knock about 4% off the purchase price so that is a major slay! Better than nothing! He's also going to do a handful of small fixes before we close so that we can knock those off of our to-do list. We are SO excited! We heard yesterday that he officially accepted our reduced price offer, so now we're just moving into scheduling the home appraisal & have been getting all the boring financial things figured out with our mortgage & whatnot. Our estimated closing is the end of July, but may be sooner if everything moves faster! WOOHOO! Just wanted to update you!

Unseen Trip Pics + House Update

HELLO FRIENDS! Happy weekend! I have a new vlog up showing some fun stuff before, during & after our anniversary trip to Maine & Vermont. Here are some pics I didn’t post on IG from that trip too 🥰 Also, thank you for all the love on my last writing post. As a quick update for *just patrons*, the inspection went well & the inspector said he thought it would be “a lot worse” 😂 There is still a laundry list of issues as the house is a real fixer upper, but we want to renovate it in a video series & put in the work! Today, we sent the seller a letter listing the major issues that we will fund ourselves if he will come down on the price of the house. We’re still in escrow, but just have to wait for his response. Wish us luck! Love you guys!

Inspection Impending

Hey besties! Last writing update I told you about a home offer we put in for a VT place & WE GOT OUR OFFER ACCEPTED! I haven't shared anything about it anywhere but here just because us buying it is contingent on the home inspection, so it doesn't really feel like we 100% got the house yet. FINALLY we didn't have to waive inspection to get our offer accepted though! YIPEE! The house needs a lot of work, so I also haven't shared about it because if the inspection results are good THEN we'll move forward to closing, but if it's bad we still have the opportunity to negotiate the price down or pull out of the contract. Just giving you guys a secret behind the scenes update of why we're in Vermont currently! We'll be here until Thursday & once our inspection is over we'll head back home with *hopefully* good news! Hope your week is going well so far! xo

More house updates

Hello legends... So on the low, Finley & I put in another home offer today! Eeeek! I say "on the low" because I never want to tell too many people especially online for fear of it falling through, but we feel different about this one because there is almost no other competition. It's a very unique situation & we're just hoping it works in our favor! We're heading back up to the NE this weekend to go to Maine for a family wedding & our first wedding anniversary, so we'll be in the area again if we need to do any more touring, walk throughs, etc! WOOHOO! It seems like this one is going to work out for the best (fingers crossed) so I wanted to share because I'm EXCITED! It's been a great week so far & the weekend is going to be a fun adventure too! We both haven't been to Maine since we were 12 or 13 so it's going to be a treat! I'm vlogging for my main channel currently & hope to get a vlog up before we go, but we'll seeeeee lol lots to do before then. Just wanted to give you a life update! xo

Last Week FLOPPED

Hello my patreon peeps! Last week, I excitedly put an audio clip up on here about a home offer we made & then I had my heart ripped from my FREAKIN body when they rejected us! I will expand more on the story in a vlog going up soon, but damn it hurt. After we heard the news, I honestly went into a deep depression from Wednesday night until like… Yesterday 😂 I was also PMSing HARD (still kinda am), but hey what can you do? I pretty much just weeped, read, gamed, worked out to keep my brain afloat, & did activities when Finley dragged me out of the house. Now, it’s Monday & today our hot water & internet got fixed which is THRILLING! I’m looking forward to the rest of the week being much better than last! Hope the same for you stinkers :’)

Moving Updates + Post-Girls Trip Blurb

Hello my patreon peeps! Sorry for the brief absence on here at the beginning of May-- We've had LOTS going on in the way of trying to move & I also just got home from Nashville today! I vlogged the trip with Lindsey & that will go up in a few days. Also, in my last vlog I shared an update on the house I mentioned in a writing post on here the other week. We were trying to make an offer on it & were unable to, but we know now that wasn't our house. We actually are going up to VT again to tour a DIFFERENT house very soon & we feel much better about it than the last for MANY reasons. Our realtor is actually the listing agent on this home, but said he can still help us negotiate it. I think that's honestly an advantage too because he'll know exactly what all the other offers are & how we can make ours better. I'll keep you guys posted on all of this! Just wanted to check in & say Nashville was amazing & I'm so happy to be back home returning to my schedule & routine :) Love you!

Properly Pleased

I'm feeling sooooo pleased today. I feel like life has been presenting so many wonderful opportunities for me lately. I just turned in a VERY exciting sponsorship for IG that I'm so proud of. I also have been able to feel myself getting stronger with my weight training & it's been so empowering. ALSO, we have a very exciting house prospect on the horizon, but I'm just going to share updates about that with patrons for now. After our last house hunting flop, I got a message from someone on IG basically just reminding me that although I have many people who see my IG stories & wish me well, I also may have some people who see them & wish ill upon me. When I ask for people to manifest well wishes for a house for me, that's a very powerful thing! I am feeling more comfortable just to share about that stuff here with my patrons because I know y'all all want the best for me. SO! We are going to tour a house next week & I am feeling wonderful about it because we'll be the FIRST to see it!!! Thrilling truly. Things are in alignment in my work, body, & personal life & I'm just feeling grateful & blessed to do what I do. As always, THANK YOU for allowing me to live how I do! You are all legends... Lots of Moving Pieces to the Puzzle of my LIFE!

Hello rats... Just wanted to call you that on this joyous Monday! It's my b-day week & I do be stressin... I do... Not for my birthday! That's fun! But for everything I need to get done before then. Currently, this is the list:

1. Pig annual vet appointment today DONE!

2. Cavity filling tomorrow

3. Bowling b-day party for our buddy Conner tomorrow night

4. Work call on Wednesday

5. Need to finish coming up with all 26 lessons for my "26 lessons I've learned at 26" video

6. Film that video^ combined with a closet cleanout, edit & upload it to YouTube by Friday

7. Friday is my actual bday & I'm taking the day off work (I think? Can't decide if I should do an early stream or not since Finley & I have a dinner date at night)

8.  Start my new workout program today (still doing 5 days of workout classes, but adding a Monday workout & extra Wednesday workout after pilates)

9. Make yummy iced lemon pound cake & film it to upload here on Patreon (probably will combine this with a chat about 1 year of being weed free)

10. My actual birthday party is on Saturday! Finley is dealing with most of the party deets, but I love hosting so I will weasel my way in somehow! Need to check in & see how many people are coming to my bounce house extravaganza! Yipee!

I'm Back GORLZ

Thank you for your patience while I took a cute little week off on here! I got back from Cabo super late Thursday night & spent the weekend filming a vlog (currently editing her), doing chores, unpacking, & lounging around watching tv! I needed a little reset before the work week, so I'm happy I took that time to myself. Also, daylight savings fucked my sleep up a lil so I'm just getting used to that again & am stoked to return to my workout classes this week after my vacation! I think everyone needs time away from their work at LEAST once every few months, so thanks for giving me that besties! I'm so happy it's freakin MARCH! My bestie comes to visit on Thursday as well so that's going to be iconic! They'll be here until Sunday & then next weekend is my birthday weekend! SMILES ALL AROUND!

Overcoming Anxiety

Hello my patreon peeps 🫶 I wanted to write this week about overcoming anxiety because that topic has been relevant for me lately. It’s almost ONE YEAR of me being weed free & since stopping smoking I’ve had significantly less anxiety overall. When I do get anxious now it’s almost always just about something I have to do. I often get anxious at bed time when I know I have to wake up to do something (making a flight, getting somewhere by a certain time, etc.) or I sometimes get anxious throughout the day if I have something to do at night. It definitely depends on the “thing” I have to do, but for example, last night I went to go see SZA alone. She is my #1 favorite artist & I was SO excited, but I got really anxious throughout the day leading up to it because I was nervous about going to my first concert alone. Of course, once I got to my seat it totally went away (& I had taken a lil kratom & my anxiety soothing tincture before leaving the house LOL). I think it also helped that I had a really sweet guy next to me named Louis who was there alone too & was just being super friendly & talkative. I always feel better when I can actually talk about my feelings even if it’s quickly to a stranger. Louis was like “Oh my god I was anxious too!” So that helped me feel less alone :’) The actual show was amazing & I felt like I was levitating in an anxiety-free zone LOL. I did get a little jumbled up in the brain while leaving & walked the entirely wrong direction than where I parked for a very long time though which was tragic… But I eventually made it to my car & listened to my little podcasts & felt good about the whole night. Anyway! Idk what the takeaway is really, but I guess for me it helps just to tell someone when I’m anxious & they’ll either suggest a helpful tool or just make me feel less alone. I love y’all so much! I hope today was an anxiety-free day for you 🫶

All The Unsaid Things

Hello my patreon peeps :) For February book club, we're reading "Three Women" by Lisa Taddeo & I'm so close to finishing it even though the month isn't over yet. It's so great I am just gobbling it up! Today, I read a chapter on one of the women (Sloane) & something about it really stood out to me... Enough to want to share it with all of you even if you're not participating in my book club this month! Taddeo focuses a lot of this book on desire & the parts of women that never see the light of day because we keep them in. In the part I read today, Sloane was describing her "real fantasy" after going into detail about her husband's (spoiler alert: his are sexual lol). I just find the juxtaposition wonderful & relatable & felt the need to share, so I'm going to leave it here:

In Sloane's fantasy, she's standing at her kitchen sink, wearing a butter-colored apron. Her hair is drawn back in a ponytail. The children are playing, quietly, at the table. The light is subdued and yellow. For dinner they have just eaten a roast chicken. The skin of the animal was crackling and underneath the flesh was moist. There were new potatoes and baby carrots from the farm down the road. The restaurant is making money. There is nothing to worry about, nothing to pay off. There is a mess in the kitchen, the kind a good dinner leaves behind. Her husband looks at her from across the room. The expression on his face is frank and wonderful. It's an expression with bones of its own. He rises and crosses the room, several dishes in hand. The insinuation of his body is enough to move her body out of the way of the sink. He looks her up and down, and he smiles. Then he turns the faucet on, and he begins to wash the dishes. Without having been told. 

The fantasy is he did the stuff she didn't even know she needed, like cleaning his amber drops off the rim of the toiler, getting the kids' clothes ready for the following morning, putting the scissors back where the scissors go, he did a bunch of things before the thought of them even entered Sloane's head. Invisible service, the kind she likes the waiters to practice in her restaurant. He cleared the room in her brain so that she might be able to get sexually excited in that now wide-open field up there where the to-dos aren't scrolling and the boxes next to each task are checked--but that overwhelming list didn't even get written up because he did it before she thought about it. He even walked the dog. Ha, she thinks. Come on. That's crazy. After all, we don't even have a fucking dog.

What’s Been up 🫶

Hello my patreon peeps! I normally put up my writing posts on Mondays, but I was focusing on getting up a storytime video for you guys on here which is up now! It’s a lil tale about my recent shroom 🍄 experience for my top tier. Other than that vid going up, I’m also going to put up a vlog tomorrow on my main channel & it’s my longest video to date! An hour & 20 min to be exact 😂 Wild! But I know y’all love the long vids. Aside from being able to get some good work done, this week was kinda rough for me mentally honestly for a few reasons. I’m definitely either sick again or having an allergy flare up, so that kind of came to a head yesterday & I’ve been feeling like shit since & just taking it easy & caring for myself. I also just have been a bit down because of some medical news I found out about loved ones & it has impacted me more than I expected it to. I’m just takin’ it all one day at a time & am going to spend the weekend cuddling my little doggies & my honey! I hope next week is on the upswing for me 🫶 Hope y’all are hangin’ in there cuz this winter seasonal depression is real out here! I’ll be live on twitch in like an hour if you wanna come hang! This waking up early thing is killin' me LOL

As soon of y'all know, I've been trying to wake up earlier this year & every day that I wake up at 8 AM I truly think I'm gonna pass out into a much needed nap by 1 PM! It is tragic! I thought my body would be used to it by now, but I haven't been sticking to an 8 AM wake up EVERY day... Just some days... So maybe that's why? But for my writing post this week I wanted to ask you besties for some tips if you have any for keeping yourselves up throughout the day, going to bed earlier, & waking up earlier. Let my ass know!!! Do you plan to (or already have) kids?

I've been wondering about this question a lot lately & may poll my broader audience on IG as well, but more specifically I'm curious who on here already has or plans to have kids? I wanted to write about children & climate change for my writing post this week. I follow a page on IG called @earthrise.studio & they posted about this topic the other day & it got me thinking. Also, if you guys are long-time YouTube watchers, the Harries twins (Finn & Jack) along with Jack's girlfriend Alice Aedy founded Earthrise to tell climate stories & I highly recommend their content! ANYWAY! Their post highlighted how 1/3 of the population are questioning having children due to the trajectory of the world. 1/3!!!!! That's wild! I've always been in the camp of having children so they can also be caretakers of the planet & learn how to adapt, survive & grown their own food. I want to pass my love of the world on to them. I saw a comment on their post from someone who actually explained my thoughts perfectly & they said "I believe I'm raising a future pioneer & caretaker of the planet. If everyone who cared about the planet/climate change didn't have kids, the future would be doomed for sure." I'm curious any of your thoughts on this if you'd like to chime in below, but if you have no separate input-- No worries! Would love if you answered the poll though! xo
