I wanted to draw a new manga cover where all important characters of the prologue are included. I wanted to give it a movie poster feel similar to the ensemble movies of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which I personally like composition-wise.

The girl's name is Paleona and she is an OC. I rarely create OCs for specifically another franchise but somehow I wanted to draw Cubone together with a girl with stone-age-inspired clothes. When I did some drafts for her design a lot of other ideas came up and I want to make this an illustration series featuring Paleona and Cubone together with other prehistoric-looking Pokémon.

I like the anime look of many sprites in Golden Sun. I figured that the fairy only appears when you cast the ply spell at a specific story-relevant point. Surprisingly, it is rarely seen in other situations. I expanded the sprite resolution to see a bit more details.
This artwork is my personal interpretation of this sprite. I always wanted to do this with other sprites from several games too. It's really fun.

A sepia illustration of Lorna, the cursed maid from the series Over the Garden Wall. I sued a smoothed version of my standard pencil brush for the outline and I like the drawing feeling of it. It is very likely that I will use it for my other future work from that point on as well.

A glimpse of Kiliarna in her maid clothes. You will see more scenes of her soon. I think I need to redesign Chaudine's whip. She actually has two whips, but I tend to often draw her with one hand holding the whip while the other is often occupied doing something else, so maybe I'll change the design, so she can combine her two whips into one.

I worked with a client on a music school book for the last months and this illustration of a church was one of my recent commission works. I hope I can still get better with lnatural lighting and contrasting distances. While I'm satisfied how the church itself has turned out, it was still challenging to draw the whole shrubbery in a way that one can clearly see the different sizes and distances of the trees and bushes.

A new panel preview, where I used my improved shading stroke brush the first time. The sketch-like strokes look more traditionally drawn now, and I really like how it turned out.

Work on the prologue pages has been going smoothly so far. But since I'm changing the order of the pages frequently as I swap out pages and scenes along the way to improve the narrative, I've finally decided to create a new kind of post that I'll call panel previews. Hello dear patrons. Just a note in advance: A few days ago some heavy PC crashes led to the corruption of my drawing tool and several files from my illustration and manga folders. Took a while until I could restore the settings and some brushes, but I couldn't save everything. It was a tedious process to reorganize and clean up my projects until I was finally able to use the program again (a small corrupted setting file - not bigger than a few KB - prevented me from accessing my drawing tool)...

With the completion of Mia's artwork, another part of my long-term Tennis themed Golden Sun fanart project is finally done. I really like the pose and color scheme. I already noticed at the beginning how hard it was to get the angle of the tennis racket right.
