I don't usually get to draw this squad. And It was fun varying up the body types~

Adagio Swims with Sunset

Edit: fixed graphical error near fins.

2nd winner of the August Poll! It took so long because I was figuring out how mermaid tails bend. I just mimicked dolphin joints. XD

But for real, It was fun drawing mermaid Adagio though. Halfway through, I realized that I had drawn her siren head under the water. So I had to work around that for their dialogue. :v

Let's just imagine that that new kind of text box is past dialogue from when she was above the waves. or telepathy~ lol

Scootaloo's Birthday

Scootaloo.exe has encountered an error.

I like to think that Rainbow just takes Scoots to the kitchen and hands her her first beer. She just happens to be wearing the cat lingerie.

I really like how the faces turned out in this page. I'm trying to be more fluid with expressiveness this time around!

Prurient Synchronicity - Page 6

The payoff for diligently drawing the complex vending machines is that sometimes they give out free bonus drinks. And usually when that happens, the machine makes a big deal about it, with flashing lights and loud sounds and all that jazz.

Usually this is a welcome surprise. But not this time, I guess. But hey, now they don't have to share, right?

Panel 4 has a sound waveform of footsteps in dry dirt. And I didn't exactly plan on it during writing, but I'm glad that it just so happened that Silver has the hairstyle that keeps her ears exposed. Thank goodness that worked out. lol.

I kept trying to think of things for them to hold. Ice cream was obvious, and then I tried to get them to hold an umbrella, but that was too hard. And then I realized, they could hold each other! Proud of that one.

Not gonna lie, I forgot to properly plan the park layout when I was writing the script. XD

I based the vendy machine off of a dy-do machine on the corner of my street. I pass by it so much, I can basically draw it by heart.

Oh yeah, they're really feeling it. Or at least, Diamond is. In this page, I wanted to capture the tingling sensation of slowly walking away from a lifeline.

I figured out a new angle to draw scissoring, that I haven't used yet. >:D
The hand on Twi's head is my favorite~

Oh man, that sand is gonna get everywhere. I wouldn't recommend it personally, but maybe they got soft sand in Human Horse Land.

Haha, Crazy Diamond.

I like when people are nude, but they have shoes on. I think the juxtaposition makes them more exposed.

It took enormous willpower to not add '*Streaking' to Diamond's 'sneaking' line.

Silver has let the intrusive thoughts win. I really like how panel 5 turned out. It's funny out of context. And that speech bubble in the light coming in from the doorway was one of the first things that went into the script for these two.

This page features my artistic enemy: Mirrors. haha.

I had to re-draw the background for the big panel at the top because I forgot that the mirror would flip how the bathroom stalls would open. And then I got confused by which hand was holding which, and got swapped around. >_<

I think everything's correct, now. XD

This page's composition was confusing to keep track of with regards to the last page.

The background behind Diamond was originally bare wall in the sketch. But then I realized that I drew the sinks to the left and stalls to the right. And that would put them in the boy's bathroom. I debated the potential merit of this, but settled of drawing the door behind Diamond so that the background would correctly place them in the girl's bathrooms.

And don't get me started on that sweater. I had to ask a friend to model how a sweater would act when pulled down like that. XD

very good art exp gained with this page.

She wasn't wearing any in the first place. 😭 Having a blast drawing these faces lol

Diamond wouldn't know this, but the park is SUPER popular when it's hot out. She's just too stubborn to back of the path she picked for herself.

Also, there's a lot of Diamond pulling Silver Spoon in this comic so far. I remember this one scene in the g4 show where they get into an argument or something, and Diamond straight up yanks on Silver's braid. I guess it's one of those minor details that I end up carrying forever.
