Hey guys! Hope everyone had a happy holiday.
I have the honor of helping Image Comics celebrate it's 25th anniversary next year by doing a few special alternate covers to Sun Bakery #1, coming out in Feb 2017.
It's coming out in a few versions, full color, black & white, and a black & white "naked" version with no logo, etc (above). It's pretty bad ass!

Made this new intro page for the reprinted edition of Sun Bakery #1 (coming out Feb 2017)
I like it a lot coz it explains things pretty succinctly right up front. I find that Sun Bakery being a comic book anthology magazine is not that tough an idea to grasp, but in the first edition I kinda just threw you into it without explaining too much. Rectified.

Along with an outline & a script, I'm attempting to plot out Sharknife Lives with these thumbnails establishing the "beats" of issue 1
It's a good way for me to quickly jot down the important moments to remember, the general feeling of moments and situations, and be able to reposition them or add or remove them if I need.
This is a new thing I'm trying. I dig it. Really helps visualize the entire issue.

So stoked to have done this cover for IDW's new GI JOE series, which is written by Aubrey Sitterson and drawn by Giannis Milogianis.
I think this will be an alt cover for issue #1? If so, that is pretty sweet. Never imagined I'd do a variant cover for a GI Joe #1 comic :0

I redesign Sharknife fairly regularly.
i'll always love Classic Sharknife but I've been striving to give him a better black/white balance in his design, so he pops out on the page a little better. as far as his body structure, i don't want him to look too much like he's mostly just a buff human in a latex suit or something-- trying to add some unique proportions here
