I got a new anthology of forest themed Trail of Cthulhu adventures at Gen Con this year and ran one of them when a player couldn't show up for Red Markets. It was quite fun!

Adam Scott Glancy sent us an AP he recorded with a group of players in Seattle. It's 1930s pulp action featuring cults, dinosaurs, AND mummies! What more could you want?

Huge gaming cons like Gen Con are fun, but what about specialized cons? Aaron, Caleb, Tom, and I discuss some ideas we have for some unusual cons. Plus we review:

Special guest Tom and I take Faust on a tour of the universe's grossest planet: Wormwood. It's made of meat and suffers from a nasty case of demon invasion. But maybe the humans, armed with booger swords and giant robots, can stop the invasion.

We're back from Gen Con and have Adam Scott Glancy's latest WW1 scenario, The Uncorrupted! We had quiet rooms for this game so the sound quality is better than usual. Enjoy and thanks for supporting the RPPR Patreon!

Exclusive for Patreon backers! This is the last chapter of the Eye of Argon. The main audiobook is on RPPR right now but it misses the ending. Find out what happens to Gringnr! Labeling this as an After Hours episode to make it easier to find.

Adam Scott Glancy ran a game of Delta Green for me, Jeff Barber, and Sean and Anne from the Masks of Nyarlathotep campaign. It was a fun game! I edited out the fans in the background but theres still a bit of background noise.

Most RPGs are terrible at information design. Sections are split up for no discernible reason, key elements are hidden away in blocks of text, and indexes are non-existent or terrible. We went over 3 books to analyze why they are so bad and why game designers would do this:

Desert Sun is an adventure for the Delta Force RPG, a mid 80s military-focused game. When I went to Seattle last week, I consulted with Adam Scott Glancy about the book's accuracy. It turns out that some things about the scenario don't make a whole lot of sense.
If you liked this episode, consider pre-ordering Delta Green (if you haven't already).

I have recently returned from Seattle and managed to run a one shot of Red Markets for Adam Scott Glancy, Faust, Peter Nielsen (author of Boiling Point for Base Raiders) and Micah Nielsen. We recorded this at Glancy's house so there is a bit of noise from the nearby street and whatnot, but hopefully that won't be too distracting.
Enjoy!

Rifts Adventure Sourcebook 2: Chi-Town 'Burbs: Firetown & the Tolkeen Crisis is an odd duck. It focuses on providing plot hooks for running adventures in a sprawling city in the shadow of the Coalition States. It also features a fully fleshed out team of adventurers out for revenge against the CS. Six fully written up adventurers with personalities and back stories who aren't just punching bags or mary sues. It's weird, I know. Shaun and I discuss what kind of TV show would best suit these c...
