Think I finally settled on a color pallet, this also works to contradict them against their rival, Kin, who is all about bright reds and golds, VS Yang's dark blues and blacks.

Thanks to a certain someone for upping their pledge :D
Also this is me making some alt uniforms for Yancy.

Capping off the year by putting Yancy in a fancy suit and enjoying the new modeling techniques and products I picked up, pretty pleased with this.

More or less done now, will be mirror and adding details soon I hope.

Decided to start re-modelling Yancy to try and get a more solid idea on their facial structure and hair, and also cos I want to see them in a suit, about 40% done.
The march upon Icecrown was swift as it was brutal.
The darkness of the night had faded, but one could hardly tell beneath the oppressive black clouds.
The storms tamed to the Drakkari’s will clashed against the warped skyline under the Scourges dominion, turning it into a writhing mass of rumbling and roaring. Crackling lightning and screeching icicles tore from the sky in a discordant and wild display.
Winds howled and even when forced to abate the land itself was but...
Hello again,
I'm back today, to discuss how RWBY uses Semblances and themes of strength and backstory to compare and contrast two figures, Yang & Adam.
Many thanks to but a Humble Goon and Yanginaround on Tumblr for their meta that helped make this possible, and as always, thank you yo my wonderful patrons for helping make these videos possible.
Now, onto the video:
Now, we know Yang, the heart of team RWBY, Ruby's elder sister and oftentime...

Ranvin’s fairly tedious guard duty upon the jagged mountain that divided the West and South-West staircases -Both so distant he could make out neither from which his own Winterfang_tribe got their name- that he quickly zeroed in on the first interesting sight.

2021-11-22 12:59:23 +0000 UTC View PostHello again,
Today I bring you an episode inspired by a conversation I saw on Tumblr that spiraled off into a whole script.
Namely, about how Ren & Nora at first glance embody certain classic character archetypes, but over time are revealed to be extremely subversive.
To kick us off, on the surface, Ren seems very much like the classic stoic, an emotionless, cool anime pretty-boy, or otherwise perceived to be as extremely serene and calm.
Su...

Today we're breaking from format to discus Orpheus, the The Unsung & tragically Underutilized Hero and his three year run as part of the Gotham Vigilante Community.
Named Gavin King, Orpheus was born and raised in Gotham City by his professional dancer mother and ex-pat turned sports producer father.
His natural talent in dance and need to frequently defend himself when out of the house led him to take up martial arts, which he took to like...

Stephanie Brown as Knight Hawk, a spin on the Nightwing moniker.
2021-11-19 12:18:12 +0000 UTC View PostHello again,
Well we're back again to discuss another Gotham vigilant, Stephanie Brown, otherwise known as Spoiler, The fourth Robin and at one point Batgirl.
This is a character with a history only a year younger than Tim Drake's, making her as old DC universe wise as Harley Quinn and older than many perceived staples like Damian or Bane.
So let's start of strong with something familiarly contrarian, stop me if you've heard this one cos the next verse is the sam...
2021-11-16 12:41:21 +0000 UTC View PostHello again,
By special request, I am doing an episode on a commonly held fan theory over my usual stuff today.
Namely, the idea that Qrow is Ruby's secret bio dad.
I confess, I don't think I've ever seen much compelling evidence in favor of this idea, so I usually just ignore it, but I did make a promise.
Rather than try to call anybody out or risk coming off as rude, I'm mostly going to be listing counter evidence.
So let's go:&nbs...

Zul’jin sat on a throne of stone, his legs crossed and his posture meditative but he could hear the approach of his Hex Lord before spying it. All thanks to the chattering echoing on the streets that echoed over the sound of running water that surrounded the massive dais.
His good eye remained trained ...

Another day, another scalding hot shower after Dean woke her up early so 'they' could have fun before he left for work.
Frankly she'd barely even been there, she just felt strung out, like a husk, only the knowledge she needed to check on her mother driving Stephanie out of the sweat tainted room and back home.
Her mother was awake, Stephanie found, as she stepped through the front door to see her mother watching TV.
Except when the woman's head didn't tur...
Hello again,
Well I'm continuing my trend of Bat-Clan related videos and of being contrarian to what's commonly popular by discussing some common, but very popular misconceptions about Jason's character.
For reference, I will only be talking about Post Crisis Jason Todd, or Crime Alley Jason, as opposed to the initial acrobat Jason, because while he did have some fun stories, he's not the one whose character deals with this stuff.
Let's get the ball rolling...

Another test with my new modelling strategy, Sakuya, the MC of .Hack Quantum as I've been feeling nostalgic lately.
Had fun trying a new clothing modelling trick too, by separating the various meshes, modelling the clothes and only then reconnecting them.
War of the Dead: Part 2 (The Winds of War Howl)
The completion of the Frostmane Compound was a welcome bit of good news for all concerned. It was a sign of safety, security, and success.
Arching off the Royal Road, the compound was built below mighty mountains of the Storm Peaks. A fitting place for trolls whom worship Shango, the Storm Loa.
Sharply cut Black stone had been used for much of the buildings, but one could see the Frostmane's own more circular a...

Today we’re breaking the mold on retrospectives and dipping more into theory, as we discuss why I think CRWBY are playing with the traditional rivals trope.
For reference, the rival trope is fairly broad, encompassing antagonists, heroes and rivals.
But in the broad strokes, especially when discussing heroes and villains, it means one heroic character and one villainous character in direct and constant opposition.
Their relationship is heated, usually ha...
2021-11-07 09:52:34 +0000 UTC View PostAs a general rule, Gotham vigilantes tried to avoid operating in the day.
Or more, that was the reputation.
There was some truth to it, Spoiler had found; her best guess was it was easier to dodge bullets in the dark and it also made their operations more deniable to the cops and city hall.
This didn't mean crime 'wasn't' fought in the day, just that it was unusual to see a vigilante skipping across rooftops in the early evening.
Spoiler, as always, was the excepti...
