Was afraid that I had Covid again since I lost a bit of taste today, and my body temperature keeps going up and down like a damn roller coaster. Losing your taste is a scary thing, everything tasted like paper the last time I got it...

Work-wise though, I think I've been doing pretty well, even though my productivity level definitely got impacted. Quite happy with how the above pieces are looking so far. Let me know what you guys think!

I finally decided to jump on the Dragon Maid fanart train. Would you believe me if I said these characters' boobs were so humongous it actually gave me a hard time trying to draw them? :)))

Preview February 11th 2023

I've been feeling distracted today, sorta lost and aimless. I get this weird feeling from time to time, usually out of nowhere. What does that say about me or my life? 

I was still able to finish 2 jobs and also sketched a new piece though, so that's great. Should be able to go on my vacation with a relaxed mind now ^^

I finally decided to check out Chainsaw Man the anime and binged watched the whole thing in 2 days. I'm usually just a manga girl and don't bother with the adaptation, but this show was really on another level and absolutely captivated me!

Himeno and Power are my fav characters so I wanted to do a fanart of them. I quite like how it's going so far ^^ what do you guys think?

This was a challenging and much-delayed piece due to the circumstances of my surrounding. I learned a lot working on it, and there are things I definitely would have done differently now, but the final result I think is still pretty solid for what I set out to do.

I've been feeling productive over the last couple of days, which is very nice.

I've always struggled with my productivity level cause I can only draw well when the mood is right. And I'm a very emotional person so my mood can easily be impacted. Hope I can keep this up and draw as much as possible before going on my 3 days vacation next week. 

I'm quite excited! It's been a while since I had a real vacation, and I'm definitely in need of one ^^

This started out as a Rumi piece but halfway through the sketch, I felt like the pose really didn't fit the character so I changed her to Morrigan.

Anyway, working on this has shown me how much more I still need to learn about drawing a nice juicy ass. This specific angle has been giving me quite a hard time and I'm still trying to figure out the proper way to render it.

I've been having serious fights with my family and it has left me a major emotional wreck. I can barely pull myself together enough to pick up the pen, so I don't have much to show for the last 2 days.

Been a while since my last post, I wasn't able to draw anything for the past week due to family reasons. Gonna try to make up for the lost time and be way more productive now! One of my New Year's resolutions is to finish at least 9 pieces per month ✍️

Came across my old sketchbook when I got home last week. These were some of my first sketches after I dropped out of university and decided to pick up drawing 4 years ago. 

I wonder how different my art would have been if I had stuck with pen and paper instead of digital. I do intend on getting back into traditional art again soon, maybe even try watercolor? 🤔

Dear diary, let’s be positive for a change!

I was in the middle of writing another blog about the burden of expectations and the problems I’m having because of it. Then I thought, ‘’Why do you always focus on this depressing stuff?’’. It makes sense, I find it a lot easier to write about everything wrong in life rather than the good things I already have. There’s something so therapeutic about it, which is good. But I want to keep this blog interesting and that means switching things up once in a while!

I've been feeling like my days only last 10-12 hours, top. I've barely gotten anything done (a little rendering here, a few house chores there) and the day is already over. Not entirely sure whether it's because I draw too slowly or I just screw away all the time scrolling Twitter. Maybe I should time it.

Finally working on a character sheet for my OC, I've been wanting to do this for so long! I'm also trying a new style that is cleaner and requires me to be more decisive. My hope is that it will reduce the drawing time thus allowing me to work on more stuff.

A little about myself (part 3)

And just like that, 2023 is here. I remember when I was a kid, summer was forever, and a year would last an eternity. Now, I’m fearful of that inevitable day when I look into the mirror and see someone who is 35 looking back. Ain’t it funny how all that doom and gloom is also exactly what makes life precious and meaningful?

2022 was such a transformational year for me, an absolute roller coaster with all of its ups and downs. So much happened that I feel like a small recap is needed...

Finally, this was supposed to be done over a week ago but then the moving and the house renovation and the hand injury really slowed me down to a halt. Those things without a doubt affected the quality of this piece, but I think the result still came out nicely enough.

I said in the last preview that I was trying to be productive again. Well, 2 days later I cut my hand while cooking and actually had to go to the hospital. Got me 3 stitches for a stupid mistake. 

Anyway, this means that my drawing speed was reduced significantly even though it's not my preferred hand that got hurt. I'll be honest with you guys, it's been a rough few months. This was just another thing to add to that pile.
