[Weekly Update] I can't turn my neck

So, due to chronic stress and also sleeping weird, I managed to train my neck to or point where I have to move like Tim Burton's Batman, turning my whole body instead of my neck.

I watched Megan. It was fun.

For the most part, I think this kind of movies movies are better campy than self-serious. But there exist a magical golden zone in which a movie is just campy enough to be fun without being too self-aware and losing all tension. Megan is one of those.

Been playing some Persona 4 lately. While the story and presentation is not as good as Persona 5, the characters are so much more interesting: The most gung ho girl in the party is also the one who is scared of lightning and ghost stories. The quiet girl is, however, the one who loves them. The punk with no patience is secretly an artist. The characters are complex and interesting. Whereas characters in P5 tends to fall into an anime archetype with little to no surprise to them.

[Weekly Update] First day back to work

This half month long break has been wonderful.

Thanks to shows like Three-Body (good influence) and Junji Ito Maniac (bad influence), I find myself begin writing fiction again. I'm currently writing a short story which is in the process of snowballing into a novella.

I've forgotten how much I enjoy writing. Last year was too hectic. I hope this year I'll find my passion again.

Here in Canada, our largest cinema chain Cineplex implemented online booking fee for buying tickets online without a membership. It's an additional 1.5 dollars PER TICKET, on top of 12.5 dollars for an adult.

Decisions like these that are made by executives with no financial worry is going to further dig North American cinema into the ground.
