The scenebuild for the VIP section is basically done. I said pretty much the same thing last week, but I still had to go through and fix some models. I went through and fixed about two dozen models this week. Most of them needed the normal maps fixed, model geometry fixed, or both. Some models weren't fix by either, so I kept the ones that were good enough and got rid of the rest.

I'm pretty tired so I want to keep the update description brief, but there's plenty of pictures to make up for it. The VIP section of After-Life is just about complete. The structure and the main props are set for all rooms. The main thing left to do is fix the normals for some models. I've gone through the build and decompiled all models that will need to be fixed and it's about a dozen and a half of them. I also need to fix some textures and materials.

This is going to be a rather short update as technical issues impeded the build completion. Although the build is nearly complete, there's a problem with a fair amount of the models. I've mostly build the scene without any lighting as it's much easier and performance is better. With lighting enabled though, a decent number of models have problems with their normals. Without being too technical, it basically has to do with how light interacts with a model.

This is gonna have to be a quick update as I'm kinda busy. I've got the main entrance to the VIP section nearly nailed down. The walls looked pretty bad when they were flat with the side rooms, but look much better when they come off at 45 degrees. The ceiling works with a similar shape. I've made some pretty good progress on the scenebuild. First thing I did isn't such a big change but has helped building the scene out. I edited the scaling on the floor and ceiling props and re-positioned them. This has made it so everything fits together better, and that helped as I built out the center and copied the initial room for another on the side.

It's not much, but this is the update I've made to the VIP scenebuild. From the last version, the glass was actually part of a wall prop. I went into blender to separate them, so I could use the glass part freely. That allowed me to use it on the side walls too, and I added in some more fans and pipes to fit the aesthetic of Omega.

I've continued with the scene build for Omega. It's been more tedious and time consuming than expected, but it's coming along pretty well. Building out the floor with square tiles around the circular center took a few tries to get right. The walls were pretty easy.

I hope that I can finish some of them up soon and start rolling them out. That part of the process is slow because I need to make sure the commissioners are good with them first.
