So progress continues which is good - albeit on a somewhat mixed path. I didn't get as many renders done this weekend as I was hoping largely due to being unhappy with my vaginas. Well not mine, obvs! But the girl's.

I know, I know, you can't shut me up of late...
I said a while ago I'd been experimenting with file size. So far I tend to render as PNG and then compress to JPEG. This does save a whole heap of space on each file and, so far, hasn't been really noticeable in terms of quality loss.
Of course I use a lot of renders in my chapters and the file size has been on my mind for some time. I've been trying a few different solutions and recently have been looking at this

So where are we? Well the script and plot blocks are done; the higher tier specials are done and the two most complex pieces of the game (Chris and Sarah's VR) are done subject to some more tweaks.

It's the 5th August and so far *crosses fingers, toes and anything else in reach* I'm on track for the end of the month! But there is a lot to do, but so far looking good.

Bored Pilot is done bar questions for Eye in the Sky (last call today in you have any) and I'm happy with all the plot blocks for the Chapter per se.

Sorry for being a bit quiet the past few days but this absolutely charming fan dropped by. She was -so- interested in the lore! How did my spaceships work, how many marines did they carry, how was the power plant designed etc etc. In the end I just gave her my notes which seemed to please her.

Six lines of code. Six! That was all it took. So an error rate of less than 0.1%. Still not great, but not too bad I suppose.
I'm uploading the fixed version now and will let a few volunteers see if they can break it - and if not we're golden. Fingers crossed final version will be up later today.

Now I'm not going to get my knickers in a twist over this (there's no point - plus twisted knickers is most uncomfortable!) but I would ask that pirates are smart about this.

So we're still getting a few bugs which, not only do I feel a complete tit over, but also apologise hugely for. I know how much it's a pain when a game you're playing goes tits up. I'm sorry.
The chapter end ones are just...gah! This is as a result of me ripping Chris's scene out at the end I think and then not. typing. words. correctly... Irksome and stupid error that I'm kicking myself over.
