Hey, everyone!
I think I'm going to give myself another month without commissions to get ahead on the book. The IndieGoGo campaign just ended (thank you to all who supported it!) and my priority now has to be to make sure that the book gets done in a timely fashion. Hopefully I'll be able to return to commissions in July. After posting that last image, I decided to do a test render closeup of her face. That's a damn good lookin' character if I do say so myself! I'll try to use her more often as time permits. I do love Genesis 8, but IRAY render times still annoy me.

Found an old render experiment that I don't think I ever got around to posting. This was my attempt at making a Genesis 8 version of ScarJo. Pretty happy with how it turned out. Maybe she'll turn up in an Agent Rigg adventure one of these days. The V4 version of ScarJo is the base model used to create my V4 versions of Fightgirl and Glamour Girl, so maybe I'll see if I can use this new Genesis 8 model to upgrade one or both of those characters also.

Chryseis's landing is a little rough. Meanwhile, Pyrrah wrangles Asterion the Minotaur, while Aella grapples with Marsyas the Satyr. Stheno the Gorgon takes advantage of Aella's distraction and ensnares the Amazon with her hypnotic gaze. Stheno issues one simple command to her new slave..."Kill Pyrrah!"

Amazon Arrow vs Harpy Round 2
Chryseis uses a grappling arrow to tangle Ocypete the Harpy's wings, then uses another grappling arrow to swing to safety as Ocypete crashes to the ground!

Aella vs Brontes and Marsyas
Time has passed and the Amazon Arrows now have new abilities. Aella's rings allow her to manipulate blood, which she can use to form and solidify hemokinetic constructs. She can create simple objects like tendrils, spikes, shields, whips, and her signature bow and arrows. There is much more to the story, of course, which you will discover in the pages of the Amazon Arrow graphic novel! Pyrrah uses Stheno's shadow to avoid the Gorgon's hypnotic gaze. The Amazon slams her opponents head into the dirt before vaulting over Asterion, the charging Minotaur. Asterion is tough, but a swift kick to the kidney is enough to stagger him.
I hope you're enjoying this battle sequence so far! Chryseis has been carried off by a Harpy, but Pyrrah has taken down a Minotaur and a Gorgon. Tomorrow you'll get to see what Aella's blood magic can do against a Satyr and a Cyclop...

Pyrrah must fight Stheno, a Gorgon with an instantly-hypnotic gaze. The clever Amazon knows better than to look directly at her opponent, and watches the Gorgon's shadow instead.
Didn't get as far as expected yesterday. My son hit a curb and blew out one of my tires, so getting that fixed took up half of the day. Ah, well... Hopefully I'll finish this one later today.

Chryseis fires three arrows at Ocypete the Harpy, but Ocypete is faster than the Amazon expects. Ocypete retaliates by throwing her double-bladed sword. Chryseis narrowly dodges the blade, but Ocypete swoops down and carries the Amazon into the sky.
Not a bad days work! Tomorrow, Pyrrah takes on a Gorgon and a Minotaur!

Last week I finalized the layouts for an epic battle between the Amazon Arrows and a team of mythological mercenaries and this week I'm working on the digital inks! I'm planning to post updates daily, so it's going to be like publishing a mini-Amazon Arrow webcomic. :)

If you've seen some of my WIP process posts, I don't really need to do a full render to generate the lineart and digitally-colored version on the right, so I'm seeing this for the first time myself. A new Genesis 8 outfit called "Draculita" just came out at DAZ3D and it reminded me of the Amazon Arrow outfit that we custom-made for Selene in the first Amazon Arrow movie, so I had to try it out. I really like it! The texture is pretty nice, the boots are interesting. I added the panties from the Juncal set. It's a pretty good out-of-the-box AA costume. I still enjoy experimenting with DAZ, I just wish it was faster.
Speaking of Amazon Arrow outfits, let's get one made for Ivy Cospla...
