A note on the car: it's a tread car~ I love treads, haha. I wish all cars had them, just cuz they look cool. IRL the cost of treads and fixing small moving elements can outweigh their ability to travel over crappy terrain (which is why the Mars Rover uses treaded wheels instead). Instead of the comp for the page itself, a look at some pages I compressed into the final. A lot of this chapter is almost a direct redraw of the thumbnailed chapter, because I felt the writing was very strong in this first draft and only needed art and dialouge tweaks (and not pacing tweaks). One soft spot was the argument between Suda and Rana, which I felt was a bit too evenly paced.

Since my shame of my process was exposed in 528, here's another lazy tip from me to you, this time irt patterns~
There are some patterns that show up frequently in some pages, things like wallpapers, floor patterns, wood grain, etc. There's a few ways a person can handle it... in Ch2 I think I straight up overlaid patterns into the bg, which is a little bit crude by my current standards. What I do now is try to make it look as organic as possible while still not hand-painting everything.
I'm back on track with 3x updates a week, but also really invested in both comics at the moment :0 There's a Mare Internum update today and a Meek update going up tomorrow... which comic should get the third update?
(I'll be looking at this poll up until Thurs when I start working on that page!)
