Quick question

Hey. Would people mind if I uploaded that black and white piece I did a few weeks ago to Deviantart?
I wouldn't normally ask, it's just... it's kinda my favourite thing I've ever drawn.
Would it be an issue? Just this once?

A little Alejandro Sanchez is the colouring style this time. I like it. I'm using Hard Light mode a lot.
Sorry this one came with a wait. I thought about dropping a quick post to complain about my week, and not having as much time as I planned to draw, but I've always felt like any time used to make excuses is just time I could be using to shut up and draw, so, if I'm ever quiet, it's probably because I'm hard at work, trying to overcome whatever's making me take so damn long.
Sorry. View Post

Oh Hangman. Look at you trying to take yourself seriously and such. So cute.

Just for y'all

I've been wanting to do more greyscale stuff for a while.
I was trying to get a Simone Di Meo sort of thing happening. I'm quite happy with it, but oh heck, you should see my layer stack. It's a mess!
The master don't have to have a bunch of layers because they're so good they can just get it right the first time, whereas I still feel the need to keep a non-destructive workflow so I can back and make tweaks.

What? That time you went to jail, they didn't give you a plaque with your name on it?
I really like how the second and third panels came out. Shows that little rendering is needed when you have such dense shadow information in the line art.
I redrew Connelly's expression a few times. It needed to not match what he was saying.
He's working you Harlan! Don't listen! Leave poor Jess alone!

Fun fact - This guy, Connelly is a real Hydra agent from the comics. He has such a small rol...

Fun fact, this well-dressed gentlemen who is apparently here to talk to us about Jesus is an actual named Hydra agent from the comics. Who can tell me his name? Any takers? I'll be impressed if you can tell me!

Now it has properly begun! Hooray!
I find this type of white lighting the hardest. If you're doing more abstract things with coloured light, you can often hide behind it a little bit. But I think I pulled it off. Maybe the helicopter is a little too blue. But it is the point of attention in those respective panels, so maybe that's okay.
By the way, I know the enlarged versions are fine, but the images are coming through a little blurry in my browser. Is anyone else getting that? Does an...

Big Thanks

Thanks everyone who's come onboard! It's really done a lot to put my nerves at ease.

Just letting you guys know I'm on track to have the next page up mid this coming week.

No, I'll not make a habit posting about progress when I should shut up and draw - it's just for now since this is still a new experience for me.

Like I said in my pitch, these first few pages advance the story but aren't that exciting in the DiD department. So I might put up some supplementary DiD doodles ...

Not charging for this one. Obviously.

Cover

So excited to finally be doing this. Spider-Woman tied to that chair on the cover of Spider-Woman #6 (1978) and the tangentially related sequence in #4 - 5 is the stuff of legends in the superhero peril art community. But it was over so quickly.
But now I hold the pen, and I say Jessica and the Hangman have unfinished business!

The script for this first issue is sitting at 29 pages, not counting the cover and info page. I had a non-starter attempts at this cover. I was becoming incr...
